He said that he is very opposed to going outside the traditions of Alabama because they are important. He said that he did not want to wear the uniforms but had to because of a contract. He seemed to be saying also that they had gotten out of wearing them last season, even though they were supposed to. He said the design was close enough to their regular uniform that he could live with it and that the players really enjoyed getting all the extras that come with the uniforms, the gloves, t shirts, etc. This was in response to a listener's question about the Boise State field and whether Alabama would ever install a crimson field.
I had never really listened to him speak before. I'm sure it's Germans for most but just want to say that he is very good. I loved the overall passion he showed for the game and for the people who sacrifice to play it.
