I worked outside all my life. l am retired now. my son works as a fence installer. if you think this feels better you must work inside in AC. THIS DOES NOT FEEL BETTER!! the humidity is the killer.
lol. That post was from last month when it was cold. I live in South Carolina and have worked in restaurants all my life. 120 plus in the kitchen in the summer. I wish I still worked outside.

Have been in mid-coast Maine the past week and the weather has been mostly wonderful. Two amazing days of sun in the low 80s; sailed Penobscot Bay in the morning and hit the pool after. Today was a lot cooler - I wasn’t prepared for the fog in Maine but have gotten used to it. We drove to Acadia and hiked the Jordan Pond trail but sadly the pond was covered in dense fog; so visibility was not good but we still enjoyed it. Food has been amazing (we drove to Freedom, ME and had lunch at The Lost Kitchen, which is arguably the most difficult dinner reservation in America as it’s all lottery and only for a few months a year; I had the fried chicken and honey butter biscuits and it was the best fried chicken I’ve ever had - they just started offering limited lunch options so it’s an easy way to eat there without worrying about the luck of the lottery).

Only downside is restaurants close around 8, so have to plan around that. We love it here and question why anyone would drive south when they could be here instead…(with apologies to @razpsu ) though we will be in NMB later this summer.

Hot as balls again today in NEW. JERSEY. o_O . High of 93 with ridicurous humidity. Then we got a quick but violent storm this afternoon. I left my car windows open earlier today and had to run out to close them. I stepped out and got blown for a few seconds.

I’m sick of this crap.

You got blown for a few seconds? For you, that’s an achievement, correct?!!

That's not hot or even toasty.

Have you considered filling a 5 gallon Home Depot bucket full of ice and mounting a fan on top to cool your room in under 5 minutes? The Internet claims this is like free air conditioning.🤷‍♀️

Can‘t win. Got through the three hot-as-balls days cited above. It’s a bit cooler today (high 89 F), but we have a FLOOD. WATCH. o_O in effect from 2 p.m. today until 8 a.m. tomorrow. I’m working from home, but the office facility manager advised everyone to go home a little while ago.

For f*ck’s sake.

Maybe the office manager knows some of the people live in the valley and doesn't like them very much.
