when he lost to OM, in my opinion. He was still in the top 5 or so after Alabama. Losing to OM was the death blow.
he had a bad game. Perception is greater than reality. Especially in the heisman voting world.
I don't think a road loss to a ranked team knocks Dak out of at least an invite.
Wasn't he still in most people's top 5 before the EB, and absent after? That's what I remember most talking heads posting on Twitter, at least.
Ill agree that Dak's chances were over when the team lost to OM, but its not like he was the cause of the loss and therefore is out of the running.
It's pretty clear that MM has ran away with it. Any chance Dak gets an invite?
that trophy is a joke if they don't honor the most competitive players, oh but wait, Winston, Newton, Manzeil, I see a trend now. That's what they reward.
Sorry but your post makes zero sense. Winston, Newton, and JFF were all the absolute most competitive players and the best out there the years they won. Hell, weren't those guys some of the more lopsided votes?
I can make a better argument for you though. Here is what the Heisman website says: "the most outstanding player in college football in the United States whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work." Instead argue that they are supposed to also look for Integrity. Dak was surely screwed out of a trip to the ceremony if Integrity was indeed an important component to go along with performance.
Has three finalists ever happened?
