It's depressing that they benched a 5th year transfer from a 1AA school?
I can't tell if you're joking or not. It's depressing that other coaches are so willing pull the hook on their QBs, but Flood refuses.

I would have benched Laviano after his pick today for at least a series or two. That red zone pick is just unacceptable and a stupid throw.
I probably would have put him back in after Rettig got a few series. Div 1 QBs have to have a thick skin. If the starter responds well to being benched then he grows, if he doesn't then he isn't ready yet.

For those that mention Scott Frost as a coaching candidate, now you see why I like to see coaches keep performing when the faces change. I wanted to see how they'd do without Mariota.

Regardless of that though, Utah has done a great coaching job in this game. That punt return was awesome. Faking the returner drawing in all the Oregon players to one side when the real return was on the other side.

Utah is making a serious statement. They have a shot to get into the playoff conversation. Very impressive.

Adams has a broken index finger... Frost made Mariota non-coverage reading a$$ look great and it was never the other way around. Did losing to Utah keep Nick Saban from winning a few mythical championship games? Let's get real here people! Frost could very well be a better OC than Chip Kelly, but care about whether he's going to be a better head coach. He comes from a great line of coaches and he is now ready to make the jump.

Bill Walsh, Tom Osborne, Bill Parcells, Bill Belichick, Chip Kelly and Helfrich.... With that type of pedigree I know Scott Frost wouldn't come here as some blind bat. He knows what he's doing! His name is name is more tied to The Oregon brand than GS name was to Miami. Recruiting will come easier than it did for GS.
