Helluva an effort. Especially that 2nd half.

Can't imagine how fun it would be to watch that kind of pressure with a packed out Hump and eventual more experienced/better players.

Wtf you talking about Clark? I'm sure I've been following State basketball longer than you.

State basketball hasn't played with that intensity, in many many years.

My bad. You must have forgotten about the early Stansbury years when we led the league in defense and rebounding, or big comeback wins against much better teams through pressure defense. You must have forgotten if you "can't imagine", as you said.

Well, after what we've had to endure the last 4 years, the mid-2000's does seem like a long time ago.

I had to leave and quit watching when we were down 24 early in the 2nd half....

Keep working guys, you're getting better every game. Nice work Rick.

I am amazed that we only lost by 10. What happened?

One thing that HAS to stop is getting down like 15-1 or so EVERY damn time we play a div 1 team. That ended the game for us right there with 35 minutes left.

Actually cut it to 5 with about a min left and RJ misses 2 free throws, that would have cut it to 3. They came down and hit their 2 fts for the 4 pt swing.

Yes, I remember the days where we were a good defensive team and always lead the league in boards, but like the others have said, that was years ago. That was always Stans calling card and once he lost that, you knew he didn't have control anymore. He lost control on and off the court with his players. You could see it on Stans face and demeanor and you could see it on the players faces, along with their actions.

At least now we can have some hope that things might get better in a year or two. You know that wasn't going to happen the last couple of years with Stans. He did a lot for us, but he really should not have been allowed to survive after the fight debacle and the way he mishandled it.

I said it then- and I dont see how anybody can disagree now- Stansbury should have been fired the morning after the Rider loss. Not practicing your zone offense 1 time before you play a game is absolutely terrible coaching and inexcusable. And he told the world he didnt do it. And from there, it was 4 straight years of going downhill.
