We're in the middle of the best run of teams on our schedule.

As usual, too much jumping to conclusions in this space...
Zipper is right how do we go from one day on here talking about we are over achieving , and I wasn't expecting this to all a sudden this is a train wreck. We are in the middle of our toughest stretch of the schedule. We are in FREAKING ACC for goodness sake, the best basketball conference in the country. If we were losing like this to teams in the AAC then I could understand the concern.

Syracuse (who flat stinks) is not part of “our toughest stretch of the schedule”. Poor game plan, poor execution.

If we play them in the ACC tourney we need to go to a different lineup (Enoch & Williams together). Coach Mack needs to try Williams at the free throw line, Enoch on the baseline/short corner. Then if necessary on the defensive end play some zone.

The staff have slipped a notch in my eyes over the past couple of weeks. First the Duke meltdown, then the Clemson meltdown and an inability to close out. Now to simply be able to pull the right strings to solve a zone that you’ve known was coming up on your schedule for a year. Mack has been great, he was the best hire hands down - but he and his staff have shown some areas to improve on.

Not saying we should have much better of a record with the guys we have, but put them in position to succeed if possible. Frustrating.

Could have sworn Syracuse beat Duke at Duke. Must be mistaken.
Every squirrel gets a nut. Shove it in my face if they win the ACC tourney or advance to the Sweet 16. They’ve lost eight games, they’ll lose 10-12 on the year. Ok, they beat Duke! Big deal, we had Duke nailed to wall and let em off the hook. That make us what??? Final Four???

They are in the ACC. They will almost certainly get an at large berth to the NCAA tournament. Teams that win half their games in the ACC and get at large berths to the tournament do not “flat stink.” A team doesn't have to win the ACC tournament or make the sweet 16 to avoid the tag of stinking.

"Toughest stretch" is a relative term. They're not world beaters, but neither were we supposed to be.

I and a lotta other people had this game marked down as a loss preseason. Just like Duke. It's the style points that are bothering everyone--rightfully--but that shouldn't cause you to wanna jump outta the boat...

You guys crack me up. We went from 16th to 17th in NET after game last night. We are firmly a 5 seed right now in my opinion with a chance to move to a 4 or 6 over next few weeks. I think we go 2-2 down stretch and end up 11-7 in conference.

With the parity this year and about 4 schools being head and shoulders above everyone else.....I would mind a 6 seed. The 2 and 3 seeds are pretty similar this year in my opinion and not much better than the next group. That said I’d still rather finish strong.

A 9 seed is better than a no seed....not invited would be what the 11th place ACC preseason team would have you expect it be.

Dang I hate it when a team exceeds predictions....don't you?
They were never my expectations. Anyone that thought that didn’t have a grasp of what personnel we had coming in and returning. I knew the talent wasn’t 11th place, I knew Mack was a good coach.

It’s ok as a fan to have expectations as well as express frustrations. It’s a hell of a lot better than apathy. Maybe some of our fans should move to Florida and pull for USF.

Note: There is a big difference between a prediction and an expectation.
Maybe some of our fans should temper their expectations and how they express their human frustrations.o_O

This is not a matter of life or death. It is just college basketball that is meant to be a diversion and entertainment in our lives.

Chill out SC or maybe you ought to move to Florida and get some more vitamin D to help your grasp on reality.;):).

This loss didn't kill a seed, but it for sure has the Cards a bit more on edge with seeding. If they continue to struggle down the stretch the seed is going to drop for sure, or maybe even fall out of it if they somehow lose out.

The funny thing about UofL basketball over the years - when they play poorly, they go all-in with it. It's like a spread that starts wherever and just suffocates the entire team.

Most teams outside the top 2-3 will hit a stretch where they aren't playing well - the Cards have found their time. Hopefully they can snap out of it and get back to playing how they've played most of the year.

This team is what it is, when the shots aren’t falling we can’t count on the defense. I’m looking forward to the future with the guys coming, this years team has been fun to watch at times though.

Syracuse is a terrible matchup for Louisville. The only surprise is they lost by 20. Louisville is a very offensive minded team. They have actually played great on the road they get off to a really hot start on the road, that did't happen here.

Syracuse isn't terrible and their guards are much bigger and more skilled than Louisville's. They made it tough on Louisville's guard both offensively and defensively. Battle went nuts against Louisville last year too.

Lousville is going to be a 6-8 seed. Their NCAA run will be completely dependent on their matchup's. They run in a Auburn with how they pressure the ball it probably isn't going to be good.

This is pretty much spot on. The only thing I would add is our shooting from three was cold as ice against the CUSE. And we had wide open shots, just a bad day.

The CUSE isn’t terrible and no one knew how our team was going to perform because of the PG situation. Did I think we were 11th in the ACC, but I didn’t think we would beat UNC on their court and play as we have at times. I figured it would be an up and down season.

My hopes for this team was to make the NCAA tournament and in all likelihood were in.

We are seeing why Enoch didn't play at UConn he is terrible and I mean terrible on the defensive end. He is absolute liability on defense. Everything he shouldn't do on defense he does that really well. Whatever he gives you on offense he gives it right back defensively.

Spot on Mayo. Some people on here sound like the Cowboys fans that Steven A Smith always talks about. We get a little taste of "overachieving and everyone automatically starts looking ahead.
