I would say that Iowa's RB's and TE's will be the most difficult parts to handle. I don't think Nebraska's linebackers will be up for the challenge. TA has to have a great game to win this close one.
Since Bando, Weber, and Mike Rose all got healthy, Nebraska's linebackers have been very good. Rose Ivey isn't even a starter anymore. He's officially lost his starting job to Marcus Newby, arguably the highest recruited defensive player on the field for Nebraska. Think about this: over the first month of the season, Young was a true freshman who looked lost. Banderas was hurt. Newby didn't even play. Mike Rose Ivey was suspended and hurt. Chris Weber was non existent. Luke Gifford was starting for this team. The strides they've made are tremendous.

For sure. That LB position was once a worry, and now it may be our strength.

I do agree that the LB group has gotten much better, but they really only have a few games being healthy. I know Iowa's RB's an TE's can take over a game. Communication has gotten much better also but we haven't played a team with a TE group this good.

Their tight ends are open because of their running game. Its not really about the personnel. Its the scheme and their ability to establish a consistent ground game. The majority of their TE completions are to wide open TE's on drag routes and play action.

You stop the run, and those guys won't be streaking wide open.

Yep that is a pretty simple concept. Obviously nobody else has had too much success doing it so far this year. They have been very good at calling those plays at the right times this year. I really think this will be a shootout. Wadley can take it to the house at any given time as well as Canziri.

I just dont have that good feeling about this game that I did the MSU game. Man I hope I am wrong.

Bla bla bla.. Dry up! Given that the game opened at 2 1/2, Vegas disagrees with you.

On paper, we have much more talent, as we have 22 4-star players on our roster, and numerous 5.7 3-stars...vs 8 4-stars on your roster. That being said, we are in our first year in new offensive and defensive systems, and haven't been able to play starters together for much of the season due to injuries. That creates consistency problems.

If we are fairly healthy and play a relatively clean game, we most certainly can beat Iowa.
Prior to the Michigan State game Husker Nation was claiming there was no talent on the team now it's loaded? Make up your mind!

11-0 going for 12 get used to it.

Few things would make me happier than to ruin Iowa's season and then watch them lose again to MSU in the CCG.

Maybe you missed the part about new systems on both side of the ball, as well as the injuries. I think you realize that we have been putting together a defense all year with duct tape and bailing wire. Now that we are getting healthy again, you know that you are going to be in for a dogfight. It's OK to be nervous.

Darn right. What fun is 11-0 going to 12-0 if there can't be some nervousness along the way? There's a lot on the line for both teams Friday (different things for each team). No idea what will transpire on Friday, other than Iowa will show up prepared and give a very consistent effort for 4 quarters. They are college kids, so no guarantees about whether or not Iowa can continue to play mistake-free football. Wouldn't surprise me if either team won.
