Looks like Black on Black on Black etc., is a uniform go! Matt black helmets with a glossy black interlocking MSU logo with a black face mask and black chin straps & mouth guard pieces. Then a matt black jersey with glossy black piping and numbers. Then matt black pants with glossy black stripes. Of course, black socks and black shoes with black shoestrings. And where necessary....black gloves. What's not to like? Let's Go!!!
The bowl game after Leach died was the last time (M-state on one side, pirate flag on the other side). We’ve never worn an M-state helmet since Selmon became AD.
What are you talking about? The Script State has been the official athletic department logo for over a year now. I am a fan of the Banner M as a university logo, but I think the maroon Interlocking helmet is the best looking helmet we've ever worn. For whatever reason, the Banner M just doesn't pop on a helmet - and that's probably why we've tweeked it multiple times since Byrne introduced it.
I have no problems w/ Mississipp State using multiple logos. Plenty of Blue Bloods use different logos for different applications (see LSU, FSU, etc).
