Here is how much Value Huskers put on O-line

That is why I specifically asked about the RS Jr's. I think those will be the only guys you can "process" anymore. And if they have been here four years and received a degree, I don't see a problem with it.

In recent memory these are the JUCO o-linemen Nebraska has taken:

Finnin - 5.7 *** offers from Ohio State, Oklahoma, Baylor (2012)
Kondolo - 5.5 *** offers from BYU, Florida State, Tennessee (2012)
Hardrick - 5.9 *** offers from Arkansas, LSU, Ole Miss (2010)
Henry - 5.5 *** offers from Colorado and Houston (2008)
Nicks - **** offers from Florida, Kansas, Louisville (2006)
Haines - *** offers from Duke, Hawaii (2006)

Henry was the only difference maker in the bunch. Nicks was lazy at Nebraska, but had a nice NFL career. Hardrick started. Looks to be about a 50% hit rate for true contributors. If I go back it hurst the numbers more, the 2005 class missed on JUCO OL hard.

Kondolo played too- not a lot but he played

If you are talking about going the JUCO route for OL, I wouldn't count on that. Nebraska traditionally hasn't been very successful going the JUCO route for OL. If you look at this last recruiting cycle, there are 7 OL in the JUCO top 50. Only 1 of those starts, and that is Garrett Bolles at Utah. So, going JUCO for OL help is generally not a quick fix.(Thanks to rkay on RSS for those numbers)

There were actually 8 OL in the JUCO top 50 and 2 are now starters. 19 total in the top 100. In all 7 of the 19 became starters the first year and a lot more in the 2 deep. Appears old Rkay skewed his #'s to only include the top 50 for a reason. Last years seemed to be a great year for Juco O-lineman.

As for history of recruiting O-lineman, I am not sure what that really has to do with much since each case is probably isolated from the next and honestly, in the history of the program, there hasn't been a lot of recruiting Juco's. I believe Jermarcus "Yoshi" Hardrick was the last Juco O-lineman NU had and he was very solid starting LT. Believe he had a cup of tea in the NFL and still plays in the CFL. RIcky Henry was before that. He was all conference and had a solid NFL career. If you don't consider him a JUCO guy because he committed out of HS, I understand. And before that, I believe was Carl Nicks who obviously had a very good career with us and an even better NFL career. VIctory Haines was I the same recruiting class as Nicks. No where near the talent as the other 3 listed but he did play some & lettered both years. And I'm not going to do a total population on this, so the last few may be outliers. So maybe before that, it was bad.



As for last year... BIO

2. Charles Baldwin - Bama... Kicked out of Bama for breaking Team rules, before then, he was in line to start. Sitting out this year due to transfer rules @ Kansas.
3. Garett Bolles Utah ... Starting LT
6. Malcolm Pridgeon tOSU... Was injuried before the season started. Was heavily in the hunt to play if not start.
11. Tate Leavitt Kentucky... Not in 2 deep (appears he is RS this season and this may have always been there goal from the little I found).
16. Na'Ty Rodgers Houston... In the 2 deep
17. Branton Autry Baylor... Was kicked out of Baylor. Not sure if he landed any place.
40. Ben Powers. Oklahoma... Starting LG
43. Ashton Julious. Oklahoma... Not in 2 deep


55. Chris Gaynor . TCU... In 2 Deep
57. Lio Lafaele. Memphis ... In 2 Deep
58. Larry Williams. Okie State... Starting RG before injury
70. Demetri Moore VA Tech... Was playing ( I believe Starting) before injury
74. Tyson Rising Arizona St... Listed as CO- in 2 Deep
78. Dwayne Wallace Cal... Starting LG
86. Breontae Matthews K-State... Not in 2 Deep

And I respect the hell out of you as a mod & poster. Also, loved Rkay when I was on RSS. But this one doesn't pass the smell test to me. Seems like facts were skewed to maybe relieve the staff from not recruiting Juco's. Maybe I'm wrong. I'll give you all the benefit of the doubt and write it up to being wrong and something else.
