Arizona St head coach, Herb Sendek, yes THE Herb Sendek of NC St fame, has 8 former assistants that are now D-1 head coaches.

Wonder why people gobble up his assistants, yet Robert Kirby couldnt even get the Grambling job.

Found that very interesting hearing that Herb Sendek has such an extensive coaching tree

AA - as in, what I'd rather do than think of ways to bash Stansbury

Its obviously because Stansbury sucks and no one in their right mind would want to hire him let alone any of his assistants.

//If I tell you what you want to hear will you not start any more 3 page pissing matches about the same damn thing?

If you are going to take a swipe at Coach Stansbury, you might want to pick someone else besides Herb Sendek.

In 15 years of coaching, Sendek's record is 283-193 (.594) and 123-127 in conference. He is 6-6 in the NCAAT.

In 10 years of coaching, Stansbury is 208-115 (.644) and 87-73. He is 4-5 in the NCAAT.

You want apples to apples? In Sendek's first 10 years, he was 190-124 (.605) and 84-82. He was 2-3 in the NCAAT.

You could argue that he coached in a better league, but the facts show that Stansbury clearly has a better record than "The Tree".

Its amazing to me that somebody like Sendek has 8 former assistants now that are D-1 coaches, but none of Stansbury's can get a job at anywhere but Armstrong Jr High

Why is Sendek, with his average coaching record, producing head coaches while Stansbury, with a better record is not?

in the Charleston coaching tree. I'd like to know how many CHS assistants eventually went on to successful coaching careers. We all know of one that didn't.

of your reply above is:

To that I say, I don't really give a ****. We have a better record than Sendek so it's a moot point to compare Stansbury's staff to Sendek's. I think this topic is a prime example why some despise your posts. You are grasping at a way to down Stansbury.

You used a 15 second lovefest on a television broadcast to fall head over heals for Sendek in your apparent quest to put down our coach.

I'm guessing you had no idea what Herb Sendek's record was before I posted it.

So I'm crying hogwash on your new angle that you now think Herb Sendek is an average coach.

For the record, I think Herb Sendek is a very smart coach. I guess in a way, I'm glad you brought him into the equation. Makes me appreciate what we have at Mississippi State.

most of the coaches are still on staff....but of the ones that left-

1. One is the OL coach for Longview HS in TX that made it to the state title game in 2008 I believe
2. One is the DC at Clahoun City who played for the State title in 2008
3. And one, after winning State COY, retired to enter private business to work about 4 days a week selling rubbers

not too shabby

That is impressive to see how many assistants of his are HCs now.

And it is odd that Stans' boys arent wanted anywhere.

...oh well.
