I originally put this in another thread. I decided it needed it's own. I'm not being chicken little, but it is plain to see we need some changes. I don't think it's overreacting or knee jerk because this storm has been a brewing for a long while. It has nothing to do with omu, I will worry about them thanksgiving week and that's all. If it doesn't sting a little bit, then you're really not making any changes at all.
1. I want the best players to play, period! No 17ing politics! I love seniors too, but you have to earn your spot and keep it. this isn't showfriends it's showbusiness.
2. Give Les his severance tell him thank you, and hire a new young passionate OC. Give him the reigns of the whole offense. Let him hire is own Oline coach.
3. see #2 Give Hevesy his severance, and say thank you. Send the new Oline coach on the road immediately. we have to start getting some Oline kids in recruiting that can sustain a high level of play. Based on what I see over years and years we are not a very good judge of talent on the Oline. Sumptin gotta change there.
4. #2 should fix, no more vanilla play calling or sitting on a 3 point lead. Wide *** open no matter what the score. The only caveat is if we have a lead under two minutes run the ball, stay in bounds, and grind clock. Your smart enough to figure these caveats out if your a college OC.
5. No more prevent defense, either you play your normal defense until the horn or don't play at all.
6. Thank Bracky, and send him on his way. Hire a criminal defense attorney like Saul Goodman. Promptly send letter to NCAA that says "thanks for the bump and grind over the years, but 17 you things they are a changing. Good luck to ya."
7. Mullen has weekly consultations with the intense bastard (*Shumley) to go over coaching philosophy's and this past weeks decision making. Mullen moves to a CEO role.
8. Loafers (*Shumley) puts together a financial plan to get all of our assistants on par with the rest of the league. Either play hard or don't play. No half assing this thing anymore. You want to keep good people, you have to pay them.
9. I would keep Collins for now. If you do raise that DC salary on par with the rest of the league that does open up a lot of potential suitors. Collins is fine for now. Our problem is more points not what we have given up (so far).
This would be an excellent start, but reserve the right to add some things.
