Listening to Bo Bounds discussion this morning about why Chip Kelly would want to leave Oregon. Most people can't understand why he would want to leave Oregon because he is so close to a NC, and then others think he wants a new challenge. However, none of these reasons are correct.

Chip Kelly will most likely leave college football because he is sick and tired of the BS that goes on recruiting. Unlike Alabama and Saban, Oregon doesn't have the local recruiting base that many of the other national powers have, and couple that with the trouble Oregon has gotten into in Texas, most of which Kelly probably disagrees with or is being replicated by other teams, and Kelly just doesn't want to deal with it any longer. Why any coach that has the option between coaching in college football and the NFL would choose to coach in college is beyond me. Why would anyone want to deal with what Mullen and Co are dealing with right now in regards to OM cheating and the OM media?

Pro football, baseball, etc.. have such specific rules that cheating is virtually impossible. Coaches can just coach and they have a much greater ability to control their own fate. They have a salary cap in which they can allocate money they way they see fit. They don't to worry about some stray lawyer or banker going into the back door of some recruits house and buying him off. The NCAA recruiting system has gotten to be terrible, and IMO has made where, unless you have every competitive advantage like Bama or Texas, you would have to be either an idiot or really really in love with the school in which coach in order to stay in college football instead of going to the NFL.
