Late March------ all the experts say Jamont you are going to be a first rounder!

Early April to late April ------all the experts say Jamont the worst is late first round.

May and late May all the experts say Jamont you are probably going to go in the early second round. Maybe late second round.

Draft time: Jamont doesn't even get drafted although everyone at the camps told him how impressed they were with his play just to keep him hanging. Lookout Jarvis, you don't play for North Carolina. People will lie to you and there are no penalties. Again Jarvis, lookout young man you are next.

Jarvis will only go pro if it really looks like he'll be a sure 1st round pick. And the people Jarvis will listen to aren't going to be the ones that will lie to him. He'll listen to NBA scouts and executives and his college coach. I'd be very surprised if he'll let his head get filled with agents' ********.

occasions that there was a chance he was coming back to school. I can't read his mind, so I can only go on what he said.

it was pretty clear from fairly early on that he was going pro. I can't read his mind either, but I know throughout most of the season, I always got the impression that he was gone.

Here's a good example. It's about transferring instead of going pro, but otherwise it's about the same. Kodi Augustus has never come out and said he's not coming back next year, but do you think he's coming back? Me neither.

I thought I remembered hearing that Jamont had basically quit going to class second semester. I know that's what Charles Woodson did at Michigan. He chose to go pro early because he hadn't been to class all semester, and he didn't want to stick around for exams.

I get the distinct impression that Varnado is depending on people who are a lot more competent to help him with his decision than Gordon did. Nothing that his Dad has said makes me feel like he is anything less than competent, realistic, and genuinely wanting to make the right decision regardless of whether it involves a lot of money this year. Of course, his Dad could really be a sleazy douche bag since I don't know him, but I don't get that impression from the couple of quotes I've read.

Why is it that NBADraft doesn't have Jarvis on the board at all for this season, yet they have him at #16 if he comes out in 2010. Does anyone really think that he's suddenly going to put on 30 pounds during his senior year or develop into an offensive powerhouse? I just feel like you've pretty much got what you've got with JV right now. He's not going to change much so why the sudden burst of confidence in 2010?

These boards probably aren't updated much except at the beginning and end of the college season. Jarvis is eons more impressive this season than he was last season. His move with the ball under the basket is like wowwowwow. His defensive positioning and timing are unbelievable. His work ethic and mental facility are obvious.

I hate to lose him but I wouldn't be surprised to see him go first round, and if he does, I say thanks, congratulations and happy happy trails.

Furthermore, I'll say that if Anthony Randolph could go #14 last year, Jarvis should be able to be a lottery pick as well. At worst, a late first rounder.
