Saw many a fight in that parking lot. Wonder how many metric tons of puke were laid on those grounds?I can say w/ certainty that as many times as I was in there, I never would have recognized this building. I NEVER saw it in the daylight, only after 10:00 pm. Comments that were made said it was also "The Southernaire" in its earlier days but that was before me

US 45A wasn’t your route between your home and MSU.Never would have recognized it; of course I could only find Mack's Supper Club if I was drunk.
If you ever wanted to start a fight...this was your place and you could do it just by walking in the door . I have been in a hundred beer joints but this place was like the "Double Deuce" before Dalton showed up in the early 70's. Good times !Saw many a fight in that parking lot. Wonder how many metric tons of puke were laid on those grounds?
Wish a picture of Len Lew's would surface one day (Echol's a bonus). I'd love to compare what's in my minds eye with what actually was.

I've probably told this story on here before but my first trip to Mac's was with a few other new MSU guys like me from Suttle, we followed some others out there. We walked up to the door and its locked. We could hear everybody inside and knew it was open. Somebody w/ us knocked on the door and Mac opened it up just a crack and said, "what's the password"? We all looked at each other not having a clue what the password was at this speak easy looking joint. He slammed the door, we were ready to walk away and he opened it back up laughing his azz off and said "come on in freshmen, there ain't no damn password except the money in your back pockets, now get in here and start spending it"! That was the first night I heard him sing "Roberta, Roberta"Never would have recognized it; of course I could only find Mack's Supper Club if I was drunk.
Big Ben and the nomads! Best party band ever. “ it would take a miracle.“ “ “come on over.” “I’ll step aside.” Etc.I can say w/ certainty that as many times as I was in there, I never would have recognized this building. One time I asked Mac where the hell he got those big panties from. He said "Once my wife outgrew 'em, she gave them to me." LOL
My dad called it the Southernaire. Was that in its "Southernaire Days"? I don't remember it having live music when I went, just a DJ.
Back behind that little extension of the Bldg on the right was a great pisser when the inside one was full.I can say w/ certainty that as many times as I was in there, I never would have recognized this building. Mix college students with Air Force guys and Alabama pulpwooders and a fight was going to break outYou’re right, Thatsbaseball. In ‘70 and’71 you could easily get in a fight there whether you wanted to or not.
Same thing from '82-'85, especially Thrs ntsBack before there were fan days for football, you could meet many football players on Thursdays nights at The Club, Circa 90-92
RIP Pickle. I had some great times with that big fella.Although I went there many, many times, I only went there when the sun was still up one time. I don't know what time they opened but it was a very light crowd. Probably around 50 people. Went to the men's room and there was some drunk/high guy stumbling around in there looking over dudes shoulders while they were pissing. He did it to me and I lost my ****. I stopped mid-stream and with it still hanging out, turned around and grabbed him by his waist and collar and flipped him over into the trough. I remembered then that Pickle was already there bouncing so I got the hell out of Dodge and just wandered around the parking lot until enough people showed up that I figured I could blend in and be safe from Pickle's wrath. Years later I became friends with Pickle and told him about that. Pickle replied "Hell! I remember that! If I'd known that was you, I would've shook your hand."
