Had an interesting convo about him in 2009 or so. Person pointed out that he could help MSU at MGCCC as much, if not more, than he could on our staff, because of his ability point players to MSU.
I don't think we sign Vic Ballard if Campbell isn't his coach.
Now he's headed to Central Ark, so I guess it's out the window.

He's always been a big MSU fan, but as someone (I think Engie) pointed out he's not a fan of our staff. Not trying to start anything about how Mullenz sux lol jk hire Hud!!!!... but you've got to take the good with the bad. Steve wasn't doing us any favors, and I didn't expect him to. He always put his players in the best position possible, and after the whole Co-Eric Riley thing I don't blame the lack of offensive players who decided not to come to MSU from MGCCC. If Vick had a better option Steve probably would have advised him to take it.
Mullen has demonstrated he doesn't necessarily care for JUCO's to a degree. Would be nice to have a Mississippian on staff who had some pull in the NJCAA ranks. We grab a couple, sure, but I'd like to see more.

He is a very good OL coach. Of course, Mullen seems satisfied at the present time with his good buddy coaching the OL.
