Here's the full egg bowl uni

I'm starting to think there are people on here who don't realize the shirt on the left is an undershirt.
look, i get it. new = exciting and a draw for recruits, but our ugly uniforms dont seem to be making a noticeable impact on recruiting. we will most likely finish in the bottom 4 in recruiting again. people arent against new uniforms, people are against tacky, gimmicky ******** uniforms. new doesnt have to be ugly. why cant we give the players uniforms that dont look like ****?
we are not shitting on the idea of new uniforms....we are shitting on the idea of ugly uniforms. they dont have to be mutually exclusive. im a proponent of new unis because it gets the players excited and like you say, rewards them, but it doesnt mean we shouldnt have an opinion about how we appear to the nation. if we had uniforms that made those wearing them look good, think about the impact that would have to recruiting. looking as good as possible will attract more recruits than anything less than that. people are tired of the gimmicky stuff, and i dont blame them. its about winning football games not a contest to see who can get away with wearing the most ocularly offensive garb that we can throw together. as a side note, i dont see the player excitement about these special uniforms. compare the dan mullen year 1 era uniform reveal to the eb and snowbowl uniform reveals:

look at how wooden and uninspired russell and banks look. zero energy, zero excitement, almost as if they were frozen in time with no expression on their lifeless faces. these two dont look excited to be wearing the new stuff.**
I was there for that public unveiling...and it was awkward. Maybe 50-75 people stood around a little stage. They walked out from Barnes and Nobles. We saw them and no body knew what to do. We all stood there awkwardly and a few players said a couple of words and you could tell they felt awkward too. There's no reason to do an unveiling like that again. We tried and it failed. To my knowledge we've only worn black a few times, the egg bowl uni one other time, and the snow bowl uni once. If I recall we've only worn a special uni once a year. I can't remember wearing them more than once in a season. At most maybe twice. People are bitching about a total of 3 different uniforms.
I definitely don't want to go the Oregon route and wear a totally differ uni every game. That would get annoying. We do it once a year. I don't see what the big deal is. Fans are 50-50 on the look of them okay great. I'm certainly not saying recruits go nuts over the unis. They aren't going to pick a school bc of them. If they did that, they are really dumb. I know I think one recruit did do something like that once and he's an idiot if he did. Don't pull the story please. The point is to get people talking about MSU. That's it. Get your name out there. One prospect to another: "Hey man did you see Miss St's gold unis the other night?" "Yeah man they were [fill in the blank good or bad] Did you like 'em?" "They were [fill in the blank good or bad]. What'd you think of them as a team?" THAT'S WHAT THE ATHLETIC DEPT IS GOING FOR. It's a convo starter that hopefully leads to more talk about MSU. Fair enough?

This morning on ESPN. Heard it myself. Said they look like iron man......check them out.
Talked to a player this morning and he loves them. I don't care as long as they are enjoying themselves and hopefully win.
Om ppl are going to talk noise no matter what we wear. They'll prolly talk noise if they lose.
