And that French study also had several peer review issues. There was a Chinese study that found no statistically significant difference between the treated group and control group. I have zero confidence in either study, which is why we’re doing trials in NYC and other places.

I don’t understand what you people want. Are you bots sent to spread misinformation? Are your accounts hacked? Why do you want to argue about this?

This is not directed to anyone, just wanted to say:

With so many passing from the virus, I wonder why no medical center (hint/hint - UMMC - hint/hint) hasn't started a study of every patient they admit, that agrees to participate in getting better or not. That would be a nice study to see results from.

I know for a fact, I wouldn't want to be on their placebo or control group.

I keep seeing this argument on this board. I don't think anybody is against hope. Hope is a good thing. What I am concerned about is that decisions about "social distancing standards", to use that term as broadly as possible, may be made based on that hope rather than on what we actually know. We know "stay at home" slows the spread and helps keep our hospitals from being overwhelmed. We hope some of these meds are going to work. We hope the heat and humidity of a Mississippi spring are going to knock this virus out. I don't think there is any poster who would not take an experimental med if faced with death. But, let's please make our society-wide decisions based on fact, rather than on hope.

And just who do think among us doesn't realize "an experimental treatment we've had some success with." ? Bubba.......

Not sure what you're asking, but I think we want the same thing here: for people to get better and through any means available. Hope can play a key role in positive health outcomes and maintaining the will to live. It should not be squelched. I hope the combo keeps working and would be grateful for any treatment, experimental or otherwise, that at least offered a chance to get better.
