Hey DS, a suggestion:

I've noticed that during the course of the game the front page is over taken with a lot of one line threads/comments/bitching/praise/whatever. How about we have an 'In Game Comments' thread and confine all that stuff there to keep the front page from being over run. Violators will be forced to drink a cup of water from swan lake. When the game is over lock that thread and have a 'Post Game Comments' threads for similar discussion/bitches/etc. Give that thread a few hours shelf life, lock it and resume normal SPS activity.

Anyways, just a suggestion. It will make it easier for the Weekly Meltdown folks to find suitable material. If we lose this board will melt down. If we win it will be full blown China syndrome in here.

I still go with the if you don't want to read it don't click on it and keep scrolling. But that is just my 2 cents.

While chat may be the perfect and also the correct response, I am sure many still do not even realize the chat exists. Plus the chat would be overrun with even more douchebaggery that adds no value to the chat.

1) It doesn't hurt anything. It just gets annoying seeing so many threads pop up spontaneously about the same ****. 2) No one said anything about not talking football at all. Just having a location where everyone talks about the game in the same place. 3) Why is that such a bad suggestion?

....and the melt down begins.** I am fully aware of chat, which is why I can't figure out why folks feel the need to post one-liners here on the msg. board. My primary reason for this suggestion is a purely housekeeping thing. It will keep the board more presentable and easier to navigate for those who are looking for something other than less than witty in game comments.

It would just be a regulation or rule to fix something that is not broken. In all my years posting here I`ve never seen this complained about before and don`t see the problem now. Another question. If everybody is going to be posting about football how would you decide which post goes where ?

I think it a great idea. I still read the game thread on volnation. It makes for an easy and quick way to get everybody's thoughts. What's the problem?

The whole purpose of this message board and its creation was to say what we wanted when we wanted as long as it was not laced with profanity in the subject line or promotion of some business outside of the message board.

Two answers and a comment for you good sir. 1) I never said nor did I suggest any one liners are hurting anyone. It is purely a housekeeping measure I'm suggesting. Keeps all the bs confined to one streamlined thread without taking over the entire front page. 2) I neither post nor chat during the game. I have these folks called friends that will be here at my house watching the game with me. I'll be watching and grilling and enjoying the game in the company of my friends, not all alone as you and others obviously are. You should try this sometime. (imaginary friends don't count!) If you can garantee you won't act like a dick I might consider inviting you over, but that's a longshot, realisticly speaking. Final Comment: You'd better be glad I'm not running the board because I'd boot your azz for making stupid comments like I'm glad you're not running the board. It was a simple suggestion to clean up the board some what. No biggie if it goes either way.
