To all Highland Tech travelers, no need to stop and eat before the game because I’m telling you, you are about to encounter the best hot dog in all the land of high school football stadiums - the famous “cushwa dog” pair that up with some loaded nachos and cold beverage/hot chocolate and you want be disappointed. Also we look forward to hosting you and hope you enjoy the atmosphere from the legendary Cushwa stadium and home of the 8 time state champion Thomasville Bulldogs !!!

Can’t emphasize enough about no tickets sold at the game. I’m not a fan of that process, but would hate to see any visitor not prepared for it.
Welcome to the Chair City!
Don’t like it at all. Some people have a hard time with that especially the elderly ones. I know a school in our area that did it and lost a lot of attendance. Midway through the season they switched back to selling tickets at the gate

I don’t like it because it makes you pay an extra $1. I know that’s nitpicky but if you have to get tickets for a family of 6, that’s an extra $6 on tickets instead of two hotdogs

On Tuesday (tomorrow), paper tickets will be on sale from 10 am-12 noon at the Thomasville gym. For anyone who simply can’t do that or go online, please post here. There are a couple folks who may be able to help.

Playoff tickets are $8 each.

Mostly everyone in Tville hates it we have lost hundreds of followers and $1000’s at the gate this year

Still weird to me they don’t want to accept cash at the gate but you have to pay cash at the concession stand
The schools handle the gate. The city runs the concession stand. For people who don’t know, the city owns Cushwa Stadium and leases it to Thomasville City Schools for games (about 18 days a year). The schools pay $15 grand a year for football at Cushwa and baseball at Finch Field (about 10 days). Maintenance is about three to four times that.

But I hear you on the inconsistency.

Wow that’s some steep fees
Not when you consider that maintenance is lots more than that. And that most city taxpayers have kids who go to school at East Davidson or Ledford.
I imagine that any high school would love exchanging $15k for never having to mow a field, mark it off, change out light bulbs ($10k last year), maintain and clean the stands and restrooms…..and on and on. You can’t do it for anywhere near $15k. And that doesn’t count baseball.
The city and private donations paid for the play clocks, $7500. It’s a sweet deal for TCS and likely unique in high school sports.
The last year it was calculated, maintenance on Cushwa alone was $37k….2018.

What a great site. Love looking back through the history and past results. I’ve seen so many of those games through the years. Do you remember a guy named Jeff Loman who used to do broadcasts for Thomasville football? He’s from my hometown.
It’s a wonderful site! ITJ is a very humble man who would not tell you that he created and maintains it😊

I truly think SD could beat this team Thomasville is playing by a few scores. They are really bad!
Every Player dressed for Tville should get to play Friday night (alot).

This game was over before the bracket even came out!!! Highland Tech shouldn't score a single point against the Thomasville Bulldogs.
