We ended up being a bit short handed due to foul trouble and Epps suffering an early injury. Not a bad showing at all against one of the national title favorites.
The folks on ED can’t comprehend this was a preseason game. They’ve already thrown in the towel for the season and declared Hubbard a bust.
Do you think they really thought through that name and its shorthand when they came up with it? I always kinda chuckle at the ‘Erectile Disfunction’ board when I see it shorthanded to ‘ED’.

Houston will be a heavy favorite for the final four. Playing with them on the road without giving starters heavy minutes is a great sign. Now that said it's just a preseason game so it could mean nothing in a few weeks if we lose to some RPI 300 team

Don’t know how many starters OM played but allegedly Houston did not play 2-3 of their starters in that scrimmage.
OM got spanked by St. Mary’s in their exhibition on Sunday.
There have been some pretty wild scores in all these exhibition games. Top 25 teams getting blown out by mid majors, etc. You cant really take anything away from it.
I don't read too much into a preseason glorified scrimmage. That said, playing a team of that caliber can only help us down the road. I’m sure Jans didn’t mind all the teachable moments that came out of it.
Agreed. It’s way better than playing some D2 or semi pro team.
I expect two. First round we break through and win a close one. Second round we overpower a mid-major. Sweet 16 we will get a bad matchup - we'll play Duke, Texas Tech, or maybe Michigan State again, and lose.

Correct. I think this is the year for exactly that. We've basically been one win away from a 7 the past couple of tournaments.

A plug for Wednesday's Out of Left Field pod as Bart, Charlie and Marcus Grant do a nice job of breaking down the roster and introducing our new team.
It's become a sport for me to see how many games in it takes to match name/#/face and no longer need a roster. Bonus points if I remember where they transferred from.
