Bill is a skilled politician. She should want his advice at the least. My bet is that Obama holds his endorsement until after the nomination. He'll speak favorably of whomever is the Democratic nominee, but I can't see him actively campaigning for anyone. I can't imagine that anyone running would ask. I don't think it would be helpful, and pretty much any Dem running is going to try to differentiate himself or herself from him.

Obama will be roughly as welcome in Hillary's camp as Dubya was in McCain's.

If I'm Obama, I fade in to the background and out of the public life for a while. I wouldn't blame him, nor anyone else, who did that after being president in these current days. Get back to normal, or as close to normal, daily life with your family as you can. Gotta be Hell being president in today's times.
