Really was. I like my crow with a pinch of Paprika. All that to say I hope Hines ends up being an HOFer. I think the guy genuinely loves State.
He's been a good and loyal Bulldog. Only thing wrong with him was a lot of our expectations were too high. But he had a damn good career here. Wish him nothing but the best.

It was that freshman season. You just felt like he was going to develop into an All American after that year, but he didn't develop at all at the plate in 4 years. But he was productive, even if it came in spurts.

He did make himself into a fine defensive first baseman.

I hope he tears it up in the minors.

He was an outstanding defensive 1st baseman.

You mean like when he almost transferred to LSU? He stayed, but not sure I’d call him loyal

But that’s the way it is these days

I wouldnt trade being barely right for being barely wrong any day of the year. Never turn your back on prosperity.

What kind of money does the 10th round get you?
In Hines’ case, not much. He had no leverage. Probably will sign for $50k or less. Except in really rare circumstances, your draft position doesn’t matter all that much as a 4th year player as far as bonus…..you aren’t getting paid that much.
