Sounds like he’s sick. Sha says things sometimes that confuse people who are trying to read between the lines. I am not sure if that is on purpose or just the way he is.

I was somewhat encouraged as it really didn’t sound like an injury. Was hoping it was a a 1 game team rule thing.
That’s at least what I’m hoping going into Nova Tuesday

If it is a disciplinary action yikes! Things like that usually mean adios the following season.

He's probably sick and Sha thought he should play through it. Just my take.
That's my guess as well.

Holloway expects you to play with a broken leg because that's who he is and what he would do.

Assuming he’s sick and if he has a flu bug, that’s one big mess to clean up….

Amazing how things have changed in a few years. Kids expected to play through illness (and risk passing it on the team bus) after being quarantined for 10 days with a positive swab and cold symptoms.

Mainly because the coach is always cryptic in these situations which just leads to speculation.
.He said he was ill and hoped to see him play Tuesday. Should have kept it there without adding I'll comment in the future.

That said we now have comments that his agent told him not to play, he's looking for a bag, general soreness. disciplinary action, hints that he's not a great kid.

Really?

I agree the speculation is crazy but the coach fueled it a little and a certain segment of our population will look for any negative that they can grasp.

I remember the morning of the Duke game in 89 heating a worried caller to WFAN ask about a rumor of players being in a van accident in Seattle.

isn't there a medical staff to arbitrate this? if he's sick he's sick. if he's not, well then he should play.

hate to read into Sha's comment but when asked about Hines absence, He prefaces with "there's some stuff, I'll talk o you guys about it... could be paranoia!!!!!!! Hope he's back for Villanova.

That was a real loaded, cryptic answer by Sha to a very easy question.. If he was sick I’m pretty sure he just says that, and I say that knowing Shas history on how he handles these situations. But when he did this in the past usually he wasn’t being forthcoming about an injury or something else. If it’s not disciplinary then I’m nervous

The coach never answers some questions, or explains injuries. That tells me to not pay atttn his words.

Saw on Reddit he was concussed in practice which would explain some of the vagueness
Yikes. This is the downside to practicing harder than you play, as Sha stated in a recent interview. Hopefully he gets well soon. Concussions can go either way.

And nobody got that from my response above to IronKaz?

If you knew it and it's on reddit just say it then. This place gets worse than 8th grade girls rumors in the locker room.

Hope he gets well soon. Still a weird way for Sha to answer. If a kid gets concussed practicing hard, don't they deserve respect? Sha pours rumor fuel on basic questions with those asinine responses. How hard is it to just say "he got banged up in practice, he's day to day."
