He's a sketchy recruiter. Had all the talent in the world and still couldn't perform at UM. Doesn't particularly excel at any phase of the game. Would certainly be an upgrade over Flood, but that's not saying much.

U are a moron. Hire a winner. He is just as bad as flood but was at a superior football school, had more money, had better assistants and better recruits yet does just as bad. Stupid. Stupid. stupid. Stupid.

Julie would like to hire a good coach like Golden but the poor woman's hands are tied. All she's allowed to do is is extend Flood and raise his salary

Superior...really Temple ....the ''U'' is jinxed since the BE but what he did at Temple was impressive..maybe he's a delegater and hires top staff coordinators and we know he can recruit....i don't like his buddy D'onfrio though...

I'm confused, is he a sketchy recruiter or did he have all the talent in the world at Miami?

I would take Rhule in a heartbeat over Golden. Also, remember Rhule did a lot of the recruiting for those Golden teams that turned it around in 09 and 10.

They are the same

No Golden
No Schiano

We can do better, and should be willing to take a chance on doing so.

Why settle for mediocrity?
Just because they are better than Flood?

I actually hope our next AD is a gay man, b/c I want to see if the level of venom remains the same

Aww. Your AA hire didn't work out like we warned it might not?

And while I didn't like us hiring her based on Kate Sweeney's penis envy, Ms. Herrman grew on me during her time here and I went from having no position on her to a supporter and I'd be fine with her continuing to grow into the job.

The only think scaring me about Rhule is that he's playing all seniors this year. If that's the reason he's winning then we just bought another unproven low tier D1 coach. I'd rather see his team next year before I throw the bank at him. And yeah I know that doesn't work for next year so I'd stay away.

So Al Golden is now Mr. Fixit. He is brought in to the worst programs to build them back up to ranked top 25 teams. He did it Temple, and with Miami and maybe now he will do it with Rutgers?

Al Golden:

The Good: Great program builder and re-builder, Great recruiter, Great offensive mind.

The Bad: Not a good at defense, he hired his buddy, also from NJ to be his DC and he failed big time at Da U, many blame that hire for getting Golden fired.

How to make it work, it is extremely important that he is allowed or forced to hire a great DC and not allowed to hire his buddy who is terrible. This part really scares me.

Our recruiting will improve by leaps and bounds, our offense will improve by leaps and bounds, but our defense may continue to stink it up.

I would hire Golden....for recruiting coordinator.

He sucks as a coach. Like, horrible. Miami's worse losses in the last 30 years were under that guy. That is quite an accomplishment. It takes a special kind of moron to walk into Miami and change their defensive system from attacking to read and react.

It's not my AA hire. I could care less about her personal life, just making an observation that many on the board don't hesitate to bring up her personal life and gender every post they make.
I have no issue canning her based on job performance (or lack thereof), if substantiated.

Can we do better? All the better coaches are about to sign on with other schools.
