I think this explains the "figurative" aspect of the 144,000 which is a literal number CAJUNEER. However as I mentioned, this essential question was settled at Calvary when Christ declared "it is finished".
"Finished" meant for all who placed their trust, hope, and Salvation onto Christ's propitiation for Sin which was conquered for all believers on that Cross.
