One simple cursory reading of Revelation also is quite informative as to who that tiny piece of Land was promised to and who will inherit it.
It's also quite specific about what happens to any person or nation that tries to either destroy it (Israel) or refuses to help protect and preserve it.
The only problem today is the number of folks who still don't believe any of that just like the '67 Arabs didn't.
Oh well, live and learn.
In Revelation only a remnant of 144,000 are found faithful and they're all martyred.
I think that issued was settled at Calvary. Those found dead in Christ are all OK, no limits to their numbers only their belief.
I think this explains the "figurative" aspect of the 144,000 which is a literal number CAJUNEER. However as I mentioned, this essential question was settled at Calvary when Christ declared "it is finished".
"Finished" meant for all who placed their trust, hope, and Salvation onto Christ's propitiation for Sin which was conquered for all believers on that Cross.
Pay attention to the last two paragraphs--it explains my position of Revelation being a figurative explanation of literal events to come.
