We are also much improved since the night we played Kentucky last year.

that is a fair point and i agree. to what degree, i dont know, but any team we beat by less than a TD at home the previous year, we need to be wary of....kentucky, alabama, it doesnt matter. that was a close game, they are much improved. why is it so hard for us to say we need to be ready for their best shot and be on upset alert? its not conceding a loss, rather, it is being proactive in preventing one against a team that gave us fits last year.

saying we need to be prepared and if not, we have a decent opportunity to lose we are going to lose.

some schools will look at that game and say, "if we dont play well, we could lose" other teams will say "same old garbage kentucky, nothing to see here". i hope we are the former. Given the result of last year, we would be fools not to take them seriously. that 2-10 kentucky team last year was a play away from being 3-9 at our expense. why does nobody see the danger in this game?

It is just a flawed argument. "Oh no, UK looked bad against a bad Flarda team, we better be skeered now". It just doesn't hold water. If we have to be concerned about UK, we have a lot bigger fish to fry. And, I will repeat, if you watched the FL and UK game Saturday and came away with anything but: "Damn, these two teams are bad", you do not know much about football.

No, you seem to be wanting to proactively be MSU fan ready. Predicting losses and tough games that should not be. We played like complete crap against UK last year. Comparing that game to this year's game is just completely fruitless. Yet, it is SO MSU of us to be about to head into the stretch of all stretches for us and we are already 'worrying' about the damn UK game in 6 weeks. Who the **** cares about UK? I want to concern myself on LSU.

uk didnt look "bad" against florida. they actually looked MUCH improved. only a fool would gloss over that game and say we dont need to be ready.

most college analysts have been very complementary towards kentucky. we arent good enough to where we can look over this game. im sorry, we just arent.

you obviously disagree, so we will have to agree to disagree. i think we both think state will win, so we can agree on that common ground, but saying we need to play well to win doesnt mean we are going to lose.

Seems it is always a tough game for us. I think it's because KY vews us as a win just like we do them.

Dan has not lost to Kentucky & if he wins the next two games against them, we will have a 'winning record' against them. (Currently, stands at 21-10 in favor of Ky)

OT: In SEC series, we currently only lead ... (Vandy) 12 -7 and A&M (4-3)

also, if you are concerning yourself with lsu and dont care about uk (and presumably arkansas) why the hell are you in a thread dedicated to talking about those games?

Does it really have to EVER be said that MSU needs to play well to win? The point of mine and others in this thread is that thank god, we are finally a program where we can play like crap (like we did last year) and still usually beat UK. However, we, AS MSU, NEED TO PLAY WELL TO WIN ALMOST EVERY WEEK. This is not rocket science that you are spewing here.

And, just because analysts are trying VERY hard to talk up Florida (and in turn, UK) not being awful is not the same as Florida (or UK) not being good.

i am spewing rocket science? um...ok?

no analysts i have watched today (keep in mind i have been watching ESPN, SECN, among others all day, the day before, and again on Saturday), said anything remotely complementary of florida other than the fact that they were exceedingly lucky to win and that muschamp is in serious trouble with alabama, lsu, mizzou, georgia, south carolina, and florida st looming.

again, where have i said we are going to lose?

why do you keep commenting on a thread dedicated to a game that you dont care about?

The season will wear on teams like Kentucky and Arkansas as depth will matter more and more. We almost beat Auburn at the beginning of the season last year.
