"We're looking for a tremendous individual that can lead our student athletes. I watched the game yesterday," Hobbs said. "We're going to look for a great leader for our football team, somebody who can build enthusiasm across constituencies. Obviously in the end wins and losses are really important. How you get there is just as important. Somebody (with) integrity, somebody who can inspire these student-athletes, somebody who understands the institution of Rutgers as a world-class institution. That's the type of person we're going to be searching for and I'm very confident we're going to get that individual."

So does an offer have to be written? Probably. So yeah there's been no offer yet. This guy's an attorney. You're gonna have to learn to parse his words carefully, just like Delany.

Nobody wants to go through what happened last time, where offers were rumored every day and rejections wer rumored every night

Better to keep silent until the deal is done
