Don't underestimate Arkansas NIL.
Some of their current players can make more guaranteed money at Arkansas than they can elsewhere, G-league, Transfer Portal, even NBA in some cases.
I bet Calipari will not try to push guys away like he did here because he knows he needs some returning guys or next year will be rough again.
OP is gonna be shocked when he sees that Hogs get some guys back.
They need salary caps and rules for the transfer portal in place so these guys can't jump ship from year to year to the highest bidder.

Arkansas has won a couple of games and this has momentarily silenced the growing part of their fanbase that knows Calipari won’t be successful there. This is still a disaster of a season for them as they won’t even come close to an NCAA tournament invite.

Fland was gone after this season before it began. Wagner, Thiero and Ivisic will all have careers in foreign lands next year. I don’t think there is anyone else on their roster worth keeping.

They got Acuff and Thomas coming in and neither will be coming in to come off the bench. So you know Kal will push Wagner out and get someone to take him in the 2nd round like he did here for 15 years.. Theiro for sure will be gone and Z will go where his brother is or try pro somewhere.. Just the nature of Kal ball.. And wouldn't doubt 1/2 of Knox or Richmond to try it too..

Fland will obviously go and Adou should go since he'd probably get drafted in the 1st round, but none of the other guys besides Knox would have a chance to go in the 1st round (and even that feels like a stretch). I don't think DJ would even be drafted in the 2nd round so I expect him to come back. Z 50/50. Richmond 100% back and was never considered one-and-done.
My official prediction is Fland, Adou, and Knox leave. DJ, Z, and Richmond return.
You can't do it. You can't cap NIL. The very Supreme Court decision that established it also established it cannot be capped. It's been 4 years. How do people still not know this? Anyone who tries to limit it will be sued immediately and they will lose. It would take the Supreme Court changing their mind to change it. This is the new normal. Yes, you can limit what schools pay players but not what boosters can pay above and beyond that to entice them to play for their preferred school. Just read the Decision. It's on the internet and pretty cut and dry.
Slowwalker, I agree with you 10,000%. Cal is gone, we don't have them on our schedule for the rest of season and I just can't understand why our fans, if they are true fans, want to continue with Cal & Hogs. We seem to look more like an Arkansas board than a UK board. Why can't we ever turn loose of a former coach? I'll bet the football board will not track Stoops every move once he leaves, retires, or gets fired. Why do we continued to be obsessed with Cal?
