One thing that comes to mind is his vote to end the filibuster of the gun control bill. But that's minor-- it's not as if he was going to vote for it.
To a person who would do this, that's probably not minor. Or they could have misunderstood exactly what the vote was.

The only thing to me regarding the gun vote is that it was like 5 days ago. If it ricin, it would probably take more than a few days to pull off that kind of operation. I highly doubt people are just storing that kind of stuff waiting for a random cloture vote.

Since the postal service is in such dire straits, they've been closing mail handling facilities. For example, and letter mailed from Huntsville now carries a Birmingham postmark. And unless I'm mistaken, one mailed from Starkville has a Grenada postmark for some crazy reason. So a Memphis postmark could mean the letter was from anywhere within their jurisdiction.
