I would think that KU hating Mizzou and vise/versa since the civil war has even more to do with it.

KU and Missouri have a lot of hate for each other. I don't think there is any bad blood left between Big 12 teams and Nebraska anymore with possibly the exception being Texas.

Texas is a BIG exception....I love their Network being attacked by OU recently...
It's really a thing of beauty. UT just keeps claiming that the move was a no-brainier because of all the money they were offered. To a certain extent I agree, but now they're seeing the consequences of that decision. Trust me, I'm no advocate for socialism (BIG/PAC/SEC) but it seems to have worked out for every other conference except the Big 12.

You can argue philosophy, but the results speak for themselves.

Stupid question, but I've never understood why these are called "home and home" series. Why not call it a "home and away" series? While I know when they say "home and home" they mean each team gets a home game, but couldn't it also get confused with a team getting two home games? Just always seemed weird to me.

Well....i guess we get to watch our Huskers get ***** slapped by KU 2 years in a row, AGAIN. What, did we miss the Jayhawk beatings we used to get or what? If we are trying to play some top teams to help with recruiting (only thing that makes sense) then lets change it up a bit and play some new faces that we never get to play against like Duke, UNC Tarheels. i have always liked UNC basketball, i grew up a Michael Jordan fan so naturally i always rooted for UNC (only in basketball). Of course i rooted for our Huskers too.

Easier/cheaper road trip for both teams. UNC/Duke would never waste a road trip on Nebraska so we should take any arrangement like this we can get. Benefit - you get a marquee team to come visit the Vault and a chance to reward your home fans with a game that is slightly more watchable than Samford.

Well who knows, maybe we can pull one of those rare upsets against Kansas like we'd occasionally pull out our rears while in the Big 12. Would be awesome if we swept them (yes i know thats a HUGE dream but it would rock).

Bump for becoming official today. Looks like White gets a re-union in Lawrence next December (he's a senior next yr, so he won't be on the roster for the return game here in 2017). My gut says KU fans will be giving him a nice ovation when he returns to Lawrence. Kid is a class act and solid player.

Ok I'll eat crow. Never thought it'd happen. So who is the Nebraska high school player that Kansas is trying to get? I just don't see what Kansas gets out of the deal?

It's non conference scheduling (need some good, ok and bad level teams... or at least most teams do).

KU gets a likely P5 conf win, easy travel (for both teams), play in a new arena, see local fans, & AWIII gets to say high to his old players/fans...

I don't think there necessarily has to be a motivating factor. I know I am excited about it, maybe their fans are too.
