Despite having 15, 500 people at the game, it was quiet as hell for the majority of the game. All I kept reading on Instagram and junk were people worried about breaking the record (no, I wasn't on my phone the whole time, either). That kinda bothers me, because regardless of that, we should be more worried about the score and helping our team win.

I don't like complaining and I'm not a big "cheerleader" or anything, but I do think we need to do a better job of being loud and making it an intimidating ballpark for visitors to play in.

I'm not one of those people that throws around "best fans in college baseball", but attendance records certainly don't define that to me.

Also, agreed on the Maroon and White cheer- all out of sync.

Just my thoughts.

It probably wouldn't have been so quiet if we weren't leaving the bases loaded every other inning. Score some runs, people will make noise.

^^This. Besides a few big defensive plays and vickersons lead off double (which was followed by two looking Ks) not much to cheer about.

You still need to put pressure on the other team.

Believe me, I'm not the clapping/hollering type, and I think players should play as best as they can regardless if there's 1 person there or 15K; I feel you should be self-motivated. But we're not making it that hard for the other team, which really doesn't give much home field advantage IMO.

The inning where we got the loudest, there was an error, a misplayed ball in the outfield, and the pitchers kept giving up hard hit balls up the middle. If you have 15K there, use it to your advantage. It's possible to induce these things and get in the other team's head. We don't always have to wait for our team to do something and sit there all negative until our guys pull off a comeback on their own. You don't always have to be up, etc.

I just don't get that. If our team took on the attitude of our fans in that game, it would have been over in 9 and not in our favor. You don't have to holler and scream, but it would have been almost silent if people weren't just talking to whoever they came with for most of the game. Those kids work hard and give a lot back to the fanbase, and to their credit, Cohen's teams don't usually peak until later in the season- they might turn out to be pretty good. They don't ever really hit well, but they find ways to get runs usually- like last night. But I'm not a big fan of people that only support teams when they're doing fantastic but are otherwise apathetic.

It's baseball. People grill food, walk around, have non-baseball conversations, hang out in the concourses. These things are especially true when you have almost no faith in your team's ability to score a run. Baseball is different from football. It's ok to come to the park and chill. You don't have to be super 17n intense for three straight hours. No stadium is and no stadium ever will be.

Are you serious? You don't have to be intense the entire time, but plenty of ballparks are loud for a good portion of the game. I've been around baseball my entire life.

You said it yourself with "we have no faith in scoring a run". Again, thank God our team doesn't have our fan's mentality. Try to help your team a little.

If you actually take it that seriously for three full hours, I feel sorry for you and your blood pressure. Relax. It's baseball. It's supposed to be fun.
