I went with full blessing from the wife (and mother-in-law, for those of you concerned about that), got there shortly before kickoff, and stayed through the first Bulldog possession of the 2nd half. 2nd game in 126 that I've left early, and this time I didn't even get to flip the bird at Rocky D. Goode on the way out.

Notes:

- Nice arm-punt by Relf there to pin the Tide at the 4.

- Damnit, Broomfield, TACKLE!!

- The 78-yard Ingram TD gave me flashbacks to the 2003 Bama game, where they scored on their third play (also 78 yards if I recall, though I'm not looking it up tonight).

- Lots of Tide fans came dressed as aluminum bleachers in the SE corner of the upper deck.

- When megadawgmaniac went to the bathroom, we got three points. If he'd taken a dump instead of going to pee, we'd have got seven.

- When I went to the concession stand, we got an illegal procedure and a false start. Point goes to megadawgmaniac.

- The ramp on the NE corner of Bryant-Denny may go die in a fire. Give me the back stairs anyday.

- Drove safely and at a reasonable speed on my way out of the State of Alabama, despite knowing that every single Alabama State Trooper was in either Tuscaloosa or Auburn today.

- Listened to Jack and Jim for the 4th quarter on XM....say what you want, I still don't want to see the old man go.

- Bonus points to Matt Wyatt and Bart Gregory's 5th Quarter show....they really do a great job with that, and I'm glad to see the non-FCA affiliates carrying it as well (1010 AM in Meridian, 102.3 FM in Philadelphia, and 105.9 in Jackson).

- Looking forward to Arkansas next week. Feel pretty certain the baby will have come in plenty of time for that game to be no issue.

Let me say, I really do have the best wife ever. At no point did she encourage me to do anything OTHER than go to the game today. Every time I was ready to say "No, I'm going to stay", she would in no uncertain terms tell me I should go. Her logic was simple....we're just going to be sitting on the couch watching it, so you might as well go. I really enjoyed the responses to the thread yesterday, especially Hotmop's....and she thought the "First off, what are the chances the baby's yours?" line was HYSTERICAL. I do so love this board...it never disappoints.

Take it easy folks....hoping that the first MSU game of Baby VH's life will be a win.

Yes, indeed. And it was very good to see you at the game. The streak's extension was the highlight of the night.
