These ratings are a composite of various factors. Points are awarded for each opponent, depending on classification and whether the game was won or lost. Points are also awarded for each win an opponent played on the schedule has earned. The point value awarded depends on whether the game was won or lost. Point values are awarded for whether a game was won at home or on the road. A weighted point value is awarded for point differential.

Finally, points are awarded for a team's ranking in the Maxpreps ratings, Carolina Preps Power Ranking and the A/P poll. Points are also awarded for a team's strength of schedule, as indicated in Maxpreps.

The total points are divided by the number of games played to arrive at the team's ratings average for that week. The teams are then ranked in order, according to their points average.

This week, Wake Forest maintains the top spot. Charlotte Catholic takes over at the second spot. There are three new teams in the top 25 this week, Wakefield, West Forsyth and Millbrook.

Last week's rating is in parenthesis.

Scotland beat NHanover to an absolute pulp 48-7 giving up 65 total yards in first half. Please don't tell you value the 21 pts. Nh's first team got against Scot"s backups in the 2nd as reason for falling a spot.??????

If you don't want the computers to take those points into consideration, then don't give them up. All of the other top teams are playing their backups without it killing their rating in the process.

Rankings or not all I know is that sc is playing lights out ball with its starters. Moving the ball via ground/air and knocking blocks off. Comp is not great but 35-7 and 48-7 at half is impressive. we will be a handful you can bet your a$$ on that.

Who cares? We're 6-0 and moving on to conference. I don't see why everybody makes a big deal out these polls anyway.
