The two roles are not equivalent and there is a reason congress made the president's term limited. However, considering the impact money has on moderate day elections and how the transference and influence of power is ever-more PAC driven I would consider a robust debate on term limits if the fruit born of such a debate revealed more positives for the country than negative. And not just opinion but fact based outcomes. Also, I have tenure as a commander, thank God, whereas my staff can stay longer and usually do. Term limits is not a new concept for a commander or a commander in chief.
I think we would be surprised by a Trump presidency. He's a populist, period, he'll do what's popular.
Maybe and I wouldn't vote for him to guess to find out, but popular isn't always the best course as evidenced by LBJ and Bush starting wars on false pretenses. LBJ's family should be ashamed.
