I absolutely love Canada and hope we maintain great relations. I was engaged in Toronto at the CN tower (my future wife could not stand heights, lol). I actually had a client in Toronto for several years and spent 2-3 days a week there. Love the city. My favorite is Vancouver. Great city. So clean. Homelessness and vagrancy has become a big problem. I took my new wife there about a year ago. I also had a client there and spent a couple of years there as well. Very cosmopolitan. Back then, we could smoke cuban cigars on terraces overlooking the streets. Wonderful times. I first saw the Phantom of the Opera in Toronto at the Pantages Theatre. What a performance.

Keystone will be approved and pretty quickly. It was simply insane to deny the permit. All politics.

I too PAX spent many wonderful times in Canada growing up in Western New York just across the Niagara River from it. We used to go across the "Peace Bridge" over to Ft. Erie Ontario to Crystal Beach when I was a kid (Great amusement Park) Later when I got older, we'd run up to Toronto and visit the CNE in the Summer (Canadian National exhibition) eat out on Young St. Go shopping on Bloor street, watch the Sail boats in the Marina near the Downtown waterfront and inner harbor, and ride to the top of CN tower for a fabulous view.

Clean city, cosmopolitan, vibrant, international flavor, great Chinese restaurants, and decent eye candy if you like a little spice and variety.

I work on that waterfront at the Marinas/ Parks etc every day as an Electrical Foreman (although I live well north of the city at the beginning of 'cottage country'...long commute lol)...and I am happy to hear you enjoyed your time in the city. The waterfront has changed quite a bit more over the last few years , and for the better imo.
BTW did you ever manage to track down the BombadEER boy? He is an elusive one...trust me I know.....

At least you have a dog. No one she would ever permit one in our house. She is actually not as affected as your wife. She is a clean freak. When she fills the gas tank, the numbers on the pump must be an even dollar. Stuff like that. But when I say clean, I mean really, really clean. LOL.
I hear you there too on the 'really really clean' aspect! Imagine it with a 120 lb fur bear spreading his slobber and fur in every direction lol! The vacuum is out once a day literally...and it is everywhere! This habit became so highly annoying on Mountaineer or Penguin game days that I had to go out and buy a fancy new set of headphones ....instant bliss....
I will post a thread on NAFTA later....I would be curious as to your thoughts on a few concerns / issues to be hashed out...although I see meetings commenced today in Calgary...no wasting time...

I should have been more clear. My interpretation of your posts is that you are far left. In Canada, you may be center or slightly left of center as I believe you are correct in that Canada is to the left of America. I have many friends in Western Canada that seem to be more conservative. Trudeau seems very far left to me, just like his father.
Torontoeers is a good and fair guy. Don't confuse or link him in with some of the real sicko's that post here

Thanks much my gearhead buddy...I suppose I can see both sides because I float...I want accountability period. I suppose I am not unlike more than a few on this board, in the US or here at home for myself. Likely pigeon holed into a Libertarian bent although even this handle has its left and right factions...I am eager to see how all this shakes out economically over the next few years. In fact I am champing at the bit to see what comes of it...a Liberal (traditionally protectionist) govt here, combining with a bit of a wild card Republican ...imo the best deals for Canada have always come from a Lib/Republican combo, this Republican is somewhat different. Distinctly more isolationist/protectionist imo....this is definitely going to be interesting!

Also...you and I are going to have to arrange to see a race together one day...Lemans, Indy, Whatever....or at least an EERS game...you are welcome at our tailgate anytime. You were bornaneer I am converted lol!
