Hood's decision makes absolutely no sense. Even if we had all walkons and him, he should

have stayed. He has one more year then PRO. What does it matter? Now, he has to wait an extra year to get paid, and he takes his name off the radar for a year. I find it impossible to believe he doesn't realize this.

He should have stayed if Ray had told him we were going to play with only 4 players on the floor this year.

His thought process could be that he's worried about the team being so bad that it will be impossible to showcase his talent. Opponents will be able to scheme us to where they take Rodney out of being effective and that could hurt his NBA prospects.

I'm just trying to think about it from his viewpoint. Scouts can spot talent, but I'm thinking he just wants the smoothest path. He'll be behind a year, but in his mind he'll be set up better long term if he can showcase his talents on a better team.
