Trying to reconcile why Stokes is considered a head case. Seems to be an unselfish player. Has thrown some nice passes tonight. Most importantly—he appears to be the real deal. I’m going to be bummed if he picks Kansas.

I’d love to get Murrien too but haven’t heard much about UK being involved.

He’s had some nice unselfish plays but not looked like he should be paid head and shoulders above everyone else out on the court, nevertheless all of college basketball.

OTOH I find all star games pretty useless for evaluation in the grand scheme of things.

Yes but you’ll need to be smart with who you pair him with. Will need shooters at the 1, 2, and 4 to keep the floor spaced enough for him. Not exactly a consistent effort defender and rebounder either so you need some junk yard dogs with him too.

Im not sure how many defenders will be able to check him 1 on 1 from getting into the paint. They’ll probably sag and take their chances with him shooting

If you are looking for a ball hog that shoots 30 times a game, he's probably not what you are looking for. He has the kind of game that will get you 17 and help other people get involved.
If you need a bucket in the paint in crunch time he will go get it

I like that Stokes is posting up a lot and doing dirty work in the paint. He’s not one of those big forwards that wants to play like a shooting guard.
