I think I read he is not a strike out pitcher and pitches to contact. I hope that bodes well for us and we can find some gaps in that big park (that OSU is still whining about) and score some runs. That park plays more to our strengths than it does IU. They are a power team that can live or die by the long ball. We read about a homerun in a book somewhere and live or die by stringing hits together and getting balls in the gap. Here's hopeing we can get out to a comfortable early lead and coast from there.

We'll see how well he gets off the mound. I would not want to 'pitch to contact' to us right now.

I just don't understand how a pitcher can be 6'10" and not be a strikeout pitcher.

Most on the team. 13 stolen bases in 14 attempts against.

On the other side, they're 72/117 in stolen base attempts. They have almost as many stolen bases as we do attempts (76).

Exactly. Let Frost and Henderson bunt their way on and don't be afraid to let them run.

In the meantime, let him pitch Frazier, Rea, and Renfroe, to contact so they can drive in the base runners from the bottom of the order.

This guy got some really bad advice somewhere down the line. "Your future is DEFINITELY in baseball."

Lowest ERA of starters on team. 2nd most SO, easily the best SO-to-Walk ratio with 54 SO to 15 BB. Has given up 23 ER in 97 innings of work. 9-1. Kid looks like their ace to me.
