Bowling Green at Mississippi State - At 6:30, the fighting Falcons flap their feathers and fly South to Starkvegas to battle with the Bulldogs. Now the Bulldogs may be an SEC team that’s had some limited success, but these Falcons have razor sharp talons and even if they are from the MAC, they are a force of feathers to be reckoned with.
It won’t matter that Bowling Green is a better team than Mullen’s Mutts or that they have a better record, this loss with only heat the seat of Mullens even more. No MAC team is supposed to come into the SEC and leave with a win, but both little hairy partner and I think this is just what will happen.

What is Larry's Loser? A cheap imitation of the old Leonard's Loser, that was actually quite humorous?

Apparently some ol Bammmers trying to imitate it. He picks all the fav's but picks Bowling Orange over us. I wonder if the sob picked Troy.

I know the guy's a Bama homer and being condescending is his game, but the fact that he could even entertain a notion that Bowling Green is better than us, shows how perception is reality, no matter how tough our league is or how ****** BG's competition is.

What? Huh?

Are you saying that perception is reality? His perception is that BG is a better team than state (at least that is what he writes). Do you think that is reality?

Not for you or I. But for the rest of the country who only looks at W/L record, yes, perception is reality. That's why it is stupid for our own fans to call for tougher games than we already have.

Yes it sounds like a poorly done copy cat of Leonard's Loser, which was always good for a few chuckles.

Mocking MSU is en vogue these days so it doesn't surprise me that some loser with a column is doing it. Just let it go.

With few exceptions, I think it has always been en vogue. I am old enough that I let it go a long time ago.

Yes, but in the context in which he used it, it seemed as if he was saying that in this case perception is reality. As in Bowling Green was in fact better than us.

They may beat us, but they have done nothing to show they are a better overall team than us to this point.

I don't see a loss to Bowling Green

Before the season I thought this game could be a loss with Tyler at QB. After the Oklahoma State game I still thought the same. I'm a big fan of Tyler and think he is the best passing QB MSU has ever had but he has never been a good fit for Dan and Les and the spread option offense. They were not going to change the offense for Tyler and Prescott fits the offense better. I said this when Tyler signed with MSU initially and I think it has been proven correct.
The spread option is great against teams with inferior talent. Bowling Green has inferior talent.
People who are not watching MSU football closely don't realize how much better the offense has been since the Ok. State game. We are a much better team now.
All that said, we are still setting expectations low. With the offense humming along now, we will win an upset game sometime along with way (it has to happen eventually), but I still think we are the worst team in the SEC West and are behind all except Kentucky in the SEC East and about equal with Vandy. I don't see that changing without recruiting changing dramatically.

Obviously, we could lose to this team if the players aren't mentally focused just as we could lose to any team if the mindset isn't as it should be. If we are focused and play as well as were capable we should win the game. Mullen and staff can't afford to lose this game.

I might be the only one, but I am tired of hearing about how we need to worry about Bowling Green. Of course we shouldn't take them lightly, but either way, we are gonna beat the dog **** out of them and this 10 point spread stuff is a bunch of BS. We will roll these guys. They lost to Indiana by 32. If this game is single digits, I will officially give up on this season. But I don't have to worry about that.

If MSU beats them, it will be by 15 or less. Just don't have a QB that can make those throws in the clutch and we don't have DB's that can get close enough to receivers to smell the leather on the the football like most SEC teams do.
