I would not say this was a shock. Two simular teams in size and athleticism. It's just the winner was more balanced. Can't be a one trick pony. By the way what was Walkers numbers for Hopewell???

Everyone knows why this post was posted. Its irrelevant to Hopewell winning it was more of Heritage losing.

So you don't agree that these were two evenly matched teams? Both big, athletic and both with two outstanding d1 running backs. The main difference was a stout Hopwell defense. I think the averaged giving up less than 10 during the playoffs.

Yep, Hopewell made plays, HHS had too many mistakes, some of that credit does go to Hopewell. I think the rb for Hopewell only had 60ish some yards.

In 20 years no one will look at the record book and say "you know if it wasn't for the turn overs Heritage would have won." That s part of the game. I guess Hopewell had nothing to do with those turnovers.
Amen. I also think Heritage relied way too much on Davis.

I don't mean any harm but Phoebus was big favorites over Hopewell and they came to Hampton and did what they were supposed to do and left with a 7-6 win. If anybody has excuses I could litter this forum with it, but why? It changes nothing. It only discredits what Hopewell has accomplished. Keep it moving and try to enjoy these holidays.

according to my radar screen, Hopewell had done some good film work on Heritage, and saw that play developing before it happened.
