They're playing at Freebird Live on the 30th, 31st, and 1st. It's right down the street from the Comfort Inn in J'ville Beach. I think I'm gonna go on the 1st. Never been big on NYE concerts. I like to bounce around before the countdown.

Did not realize that Mofro was playing b/c it wasn't on Jambase but I should have known since that is JJ's stomping ground. I missed them in Jxn a month or so ago b/c Hal and Mals is such a ********. Anyway, looking forward to it. Hail State.

I didn't know it at the time I was booking it but it's a 5 star hotel. I talked to one of my customers this morning that lives about 3 minutes away and he said the best place to eat was at one of the 5 restaurants at the hotel. There is a shuttle to the stadium about 2 blocks away. We have a double Queen Suite over looking the ocean. I got it for right at $200 a night off Travelocity. I was a little disappointed yesterday about not getting a hotel downtown, but after talking to him I think I came out pretty well.

I know there are 12 rooms booked there from Biloxi... She also said they usually will run a shuttle for gamedays, so that is good to know!

Looks like a straight shot up the interstate to the downtown/riverwalk/stadium area.

I booked a room at a Holiday Inn Express out on I-10 about 10 minutes west of downtown. Can't beat $89 bucks a night.

I also got a parking pass in lot H near the stadium. Booked them on www.gatorbowl.com

Cool. I hadn't seen anyone mention the place yet so I was starting to get concerned I was getting stuck with a bunch of Michigan fans. I'm trying to find out from my customers what the night life is like in the general area.

beachside rooms. The rooms are broken up into about 5 or 6 different 2 story buildings stretched along the beach.
Nightlife in that area is pretty sparce except during TPC week when some of the restaurant bars like Bonefish, etc become popular.
There is a good sportsbar right on A1-A just south of the entrance to TPC that is good---its on the right if headed south.
