per ESPN with a month left in the season.

I'm thinking that they have a legit shot at a BCS bid if they run the table. Even more legit if Boise loses a game.

Many of the teams ahead of them are from the same conference, and there is not a Big East team in sight.

Southern has the best defense in C-USA, and it seems as if the team with something resembling a defense always manages to win that conference. Also, Southern can actually run the ball and control the clock to certain extent.

Fedora underachieved big-time in each of his first three season ( As ****** as Southern is, they are always one of the most talented teams in C-USA), but hiring Dan Disch as DC seems to be the best move he has ever made. They probably have the most overall talent of any team in C-USA this year.

Houston's offense is awesome to watch, though.

The BCS is obligated to take the top non-AQ in the top 12. Taking another is only if the bowl thinks it will bring the $$, and I doubt Houston's fanbase travels well. If Boise loses, then a 13-0 Houston is a sure bet to get a BCS, bid, though.<div>
</div><div>The top 4 teams in the final BCS standings are all gauranteed a BCS bid (Kansas State rule), so if Houston can somehow climb that high and Boise still be in front of them, that's a way to get both in, but it's unlikely.</div><div>

I think if Southern and Houston were to play that Southern's defense would probably be the deciding factor. I really wonder how the BCS is going to shake up by the end of the season though. There's a pretty good chance that there will be 5 undefeated teams playing in the BCS and that just does not sound good to me... The way that I'm seeing it there has to be a loser between Bama and LSU and if the winner wins out, they'll be the number 1 team in the BCS. If OSU wins out, they'll play the winner from the SEC. Even though I said that there's a chance for 5 undefeated teams to play in the BCS, I honestly don't see them dropping the Bama/LSU loser past Boise, but if they did...not only would that be ridiculous, but that would move Boise up to the #4 spot which puts them up against Stanford more than likely if they were to stay undefeated as well. The last undefeated could be Houston if they happened to win out and Boise moved to 4 (if the situation QuaoarsKing holds up). More than likely they'd play the loser from Bama/LSU.<div>
</div><div>Realistically... I don't see that situation happening personally, but just because there is a possibility for 3 teams to go undefeated at the end of the season is absolutely stupid to me.</div>
