How about Rettig?

Why, I love watching our QB drop the ball, throw interceptions, sit in the pocket too long... It's why we don't make a change. (Sarcasm)

This is inexcusable. Leviano has not shown any reason for the support.

The only way Rettig gets in a game this year is if Laviano gets maimed. Or arrested.

I don't care who is better, or who has the better arm, who knows the playbook better, it's really very simple....YOUR BACKUP QB SHOULD ALWAYS PLAY WHEN YOU ARE GETTING BLOWN OUT, AND YOUR CURRENT QB CAN'T MOVE THE TEAM AT ALL!

Why, did Laviano die? Otherwise, Rettig ain't seeng the field.

it's 42-0!! these two were apparently neck and neck, and you don't try and ignite a spark? you don't try and give the backup some reps in case your starter ever goes down?

Flood is an absolute idiot. no other coach would pull this nonsense with capable backup.

We have a moron as coach... pack it in go do something productive with your lives. This was an opportunity to put up a fight and look good with a 14 point loss... our moron is overmatched

I feel sorry for Rettig he just deserves better, and I'm writing this while Laviano, again holds the ball too long and takes a 15 yard sack!

Yes but this is Kyle 'Gary 5 interceptions Nova and he is still playing' Flood we are talking about. His stubbornness when it comes to QB's is legendary.

There is only one reason a "Coach" doesn't put in his second string QB at this point, he is scared of, or doesn't want to be second guessed, after his original decision to start Laviano! The arrogance must have been passed down from Schiano, to Flood.
Can you imagine the outcry if Rettig comes in and leads the team to a few scores!

I have seen "fade away" jump shots on the basketball court, but never saw a QB do one as badly as Laviano does trying to throw the football. The one possible exception was Joe Willy Namath, now he could throw off his back foot 50 yards, Laviano more like 23....

Lets cover this, ... Rettig goes back to pass, the RB misses his block and the DE swallows Rettig as he barely gets the ball away, but short...

3rd down adequate protection, and pass down the sideline 40 yards, to the 6'6" Agudosi, dropped, no pass interference called, 4th down kick blocked.

I love/hate the fact that down by all these points, and the D never tries to strip the ball from their Offense, I mean NEVER!

Well well well .... let the back pedaling begin! Flood will have to craft a rationale as to why Rettig's accomplishment does not really have significance .

Rettig should start if you can get the opponent to put their 2nd and 3rd team players in to start the game. Rettig had it easy compared to your starter. Get real.

We will never know for sure, because he is buried on the bench while mediocrity controls the snaps.

Everything Rettig does bad is someone else's fault. Everything laviano does well should have been an interception. Rettig has one good series he is GOD.

Thanks for your deep analysis Mrs Laviano.

Derrr Haha. No better place to find short sighted idiots than a sports message board.

It's true though. Laviano throws a TD it sucked. Rettig gets saxked its the RB and the LT and the refs fault. Its so weird. Same as political fanatics.

Huh? Rettig had no Carroo and a 2nd team offense also, So that evens out the competition no? His accuracy, speed, quickness releasing the ball, running
a 8.7 yard running average, is there, just give him starting time play. No
reason not to. Laviano's arm, avoiding sacks, interceptions and so forth
will not get much better. Flood need to suck it up and admit his mistake.

Rettig should be given a legitimate shot to play. The only knock you hear about him is that he lacks experience. You get that how? By playing. Not to mention, it's not like the guy playing over him isn't a first year starter who continues to show his own game management issues (how many timeouts have we had to use this year because the team wasn't in a position to get the play off). I honestly believe that if given the same opportunities Laviano has had this year that Rettig would be as far or further along than Laviano is.
