dietary plan is one that is orchestrated and controlled by the strength and conditioning staff. I can almost 100% assure that athletes of top D1 schools do NOT go hungry.

So a student athlete that's on scholarship should go into debt to get food?


They don't have to go into debt to get food. They can go into debt to get extra food beyond what is supplied to them by the school and their scholarship, if they feel like they need it. They have 3 meals a day provided free of charge. If they need more than that, they can pay for it themselves, just like everyone else.
