Upon further review, as usual going where the numbers take me, and using the numbers from March Madness:

National rankings of survivors:

#3 Baylor, #4 Michigan, #8 Iowa, #11/#12 Kansas, #27/#32 Oklahoma, #37/#41 Maryland (unranked so I gave Terps 1 rank below the lowest ranked team in the 2 polls)

Average national ranking of Big 12 survivors: 16.3

Average national ranking of Big 10 survivors: 17.0

Slight advantage to Big 12 at the top. As I said for months, the two conferences are pretty even at the top, but Big 12 has better depth.

Average loss by Big 12 teams: 4 points (4 losses by combined 16 points).

Average loss by Big 10 teams: 7.8 points (6 losses by combined 47 points, including all 3 overtime games).

Confirming my contention for months that Big 12 is better as you go down the list of teams. So I stand by that stance and the March Madness numbers support it.

Again, as I’ve said for months, and the March Madness numbers support my conclusion: Big 12 and Big 10 are pretty even at the top, with Big 12 slightly ahead, and Big 12 is much better in depth, with 57% loss to 76% loss for Big 10.

In Sweet Sixteen so far: Baylor of Big 12 and no Big 10 team yet.

Obviously, Oklahoma, Kansas of the Big 12 and Iowa, Michigan and Maryland in the Big 10 have to win their Monday second round games to reach the Sweet Sixteen.

1 seed Michigan plays 8 seed LSU

2 seed Iowa plays 7 seed Oregon

3 seed Kansas plays 6 seed Southern Cal

8 seed Oklahoma plays 1 seed Gonzaga, the toughest barrier for either conference on Monday

10 seed Maryland plays 2 seed Alabama

Who cares

PAC 12 is the best conference

I missed it. I allowed a narrative to be true without making sure it was. Hard not to because of how the conference performed the last few years.

Looking back at it I see why.
Arizona State and Stanford are talented teams and they struggled
Plus UCLA looked good before Chris Smith went out. I thought the injury hurt them.

I have seen this before. Spent most of the 1990s and the early 2000s in California to end my time in the USMC. The conference was usually better than most thought. Especially depth wise.

1-5 since CFE began trashing, bashing and bragging.

You might want to wait until a tourney is over before spewing all over it.

And still more bragging spells death for Kansas and Oklahoma.

By any impartial measurement the Big 12 is head and shoulders above the Big 10.

Just check my zillion previous posts.

I was right. Big 12 and Big 10 were close in talent at the top, but Big 12 has far more depth.

March Madness just proved what I've been saying to 2 months.

3. No one believes your self glorification.
4. No one can stand you.
5. No one can stop laughing at you.
6. Everyone knows you are a fake.
7. Everyone realizes you are clueless about sports.
8. Everyone finds you obnoxious and just a plain dumbass.
