I was right there with you. I mean, even after the TD, they had 30 seconds and some TOs, and I was wondering how we'd 17 this up.

I noticed this monster #99. He was noticeably bigger than anyone else on our dline. I hope he showed enough potential to play more. Only played in 8 high school games and 3 years juco. Interesting guy.

Admittedly I was absolutely piss drunk by the time of the goalline stand, but did we somehow get an extra timeout? Called the 1st on 2nd down, two consecutive timeouts on 3rd down, and then somehow one more before the FG? Or did we let them run clock for the FG and my Woodford and Elijah addled brain just missed it?

There was a 2 minute timeout in there, either before 1st or 2nd down I think

According to this, they hit the 2 minute timeout right before. But it also shows us only using one timeout before 3rd down when the refs definitely called us for two. Maybe the second timeout on 3rd down was an official or taken by ASU and they misspoke?

That makes sense. I knew something was going on because the officials were waving our guys back over as soon as they tried to huddle up with coaches. I think that’s what caused the confusion and 12 guys on the field.

With a guy who kicked a 55 yd fg last week, I said "stop them from scoring a TD". If we had a terrible fg kicker, then maybe yeah, let them score to get some extra time to go downfield for a tying TD.
