How can it be anything but 3-9?

Nationwide roster turnover. Roster turnover on every single team we play. Coaching changes for some of them. Yet you are certain enough of your prediction that you come on here with a retarded I Told You So post before bowl season. If you end up being right, it’s a lucky guess.
We should not have to have all this turnover in year 3. We didn’t change coaches unfortunately.

We have people on here predicting 9-3, wow. Seems like yall are all glossing over the fact that we have a QB that isn’t built for the offensive system we run. But muh runner.

I said we'd win 5 this year and we've got a shot to win 6 now, so I'm all in on 8 wins. That's with the assumption we'll clean up in the portal like last year, especially on the OLine. We finally got a real DC, who if he can make washed up Leach look good here, he can make Lebby look better

Been telling yall
I love this told ya’ll shít. You know what else you told us? That we should have kept and promoted Drew Hollingshead and Steve SpurrierJr. Let’s check up on them.
Hollingshead’s Chantaclier vaunted offense scored 13 or less points in 6 games last year. So impressive that the HC got fired.
Spurrier Jr. despite probably having every opportunity that nepotism can get you, still hasn’t landed that big job yet. Serving as an offensive analyst at Florida. I’m sure Billy Napier will get that ship straightened and Junior will be HC of a National Championship team any day now!

Jesus GOAT. Every team has turnover in the roster now with NIL. Why are you missing my point? You’re making a prediction with a total of 13 teams that have significant turnover and they also have coaching changes. It’s mid-December and the changes aren’t done yet. But hey now, GOAT told us so.

Literally every team in college football has roster turnover now. You’re trying to make it an exclusive problem at State when in reality it’s everywhere.

One team gets lucky in the portal they turn things around. If one teams gets unlucky in the portal they lose. Texas and Bama will have talent but that doesn't mean they will be unbeatable. Also, they might be unbeatable. You just don't know and if anyone thinks they know, they should cash in retirement, sell home, clean out bank account, raise as much money possible and go bet on it.

Hey dumb a$$… roster turnover happens every year everywhere…We will be very aggressive in the portal this year. We closed well on HS recruits. We are going to spend somewhere north of 20MM in NIL ,not even counting Rev share, in roster retention, recruiting and portal. No thanks to your generous donations of 0,zero. Nada . We are upgrading staff on and off field.
You predicted what 2-10 this year if I’m not mistaken . We were three plays away from being 8-4… we are in a bowl all be it for grades (though that FG at FL was good ). So I say again. Keep doubting if you want but being a POS doesn’t do anything good cause you’re still a cuck POS

I’m looking at it like this:
1. I expect our defense to be much improved this year. By much improved, I’m not saying like the Diaz/Collins/Grantham elite defenses, but “serviceable”. “Serviceable”, especially late in the game, would have won us a couple of ballgames this year.

2. We have 3 conference opponents with new head coaches:
LSU
Auburn
Ole Miss

Plus South Carolina is upending their entire offensive staff.

3. Minnesota lost to every team they played with a pulse this year. I would only be worried about that being a road game if it was in late October or November.

4. What does Vanderbilt look like without Diego Pavia? Yeah, they poached a 5 Star recruit, but that’s a true freshman and who knows if he even sees the field.

I’m calling it like this…

Our wins:
ULM
Tennessee Tech
Auburn
Minnesota

Our losses:
Alabama
Oklahoma
Mizzou

Swing votes:
Vandy
South Carolina
LSU
Texas
Ole Miss

So, I think our floor is 4-8, our ceiling is 9-3, and we’re probably somewhere like 6-6.

I’d say 2-10 floor to 4-8 ceiling. If you drop a non con game to Minnesota, getting more than one sec win is going to be a real struggle.
I disagree that 4 wins is the ceiling for seeing you post, you left the board after 1.5 wins. So at some point of the Minnesota game we won't have to see you until November at the earliest.

that Game at Minnesota is a big one, lose that and you are looking at a long season
Minnesota is hard to beat at home. They went 7-0 at home this year and 0-5 on the road. They were on the outskirts of the top 25 all season long and couldn't get the road win to get them in.

That is an under the radar big game for us. As others have said, we have no idea what anyone looks like next year, but I have always liked to divide our season into thirds and look that way.

I like the first third and the last third. We should have the opportunity to be in all eight of those games.

The middle third is about as brutal of a stretch as you could get in the SEC. Alabama, LSU, Oklahoma and Texas.

Yep, have to see what they do in the portal, Lindsey will be good next year and Fleck is a pretty good coach. I’d probably lean towards a L right now on the road.

Their home games this season were
Buffalo
NW State
Rutgers
Nebraska
Purdue
Michigan St
Wisconsin

Not exactly murderers row there and those home conference games were very close except for Nebraska. They also lost to Northwestern on the road.

Right and we have an FPI of #50 , 2 spots ahead of East Carolina, so I’d favor Minnesota. Nebraska is #44.. Minnesota beat Nebraska 24-6

I would expect 6 wins as the floor in year 3 of a coach's tenure due to establishing systems and a base of players that fit your schemes & actually do stick around. It's hard to predict YOY in this era, but that helps build your depth & experience. Hoping for 6-8 wins next year. Schedule will always be tough.

I agree. They did not perform well against the top of the B1G, either.

But that's a decent team and a longer than normal trip. I think we will be the better team and that game will be huge for our season. This is the non-conference Power 4 scheduling that is perfect. 2028-2029 we have Texas Tech, who looks to be building (buying) a powerhouse.

Since Arnett went retard and got rid of the offense, yes, the next best thing (other than Arnett not going retard) was to promote those guys and continue to run the Air Raid. In this day and age, it's stupid to give up a year.

If we get Whitson back full strength;
If we get Isaac Smith back;
Well......I was going to name them all, but we are still losing a ton of experience there. Coaching will be better, but I don't expect to be great.

Losing Booth and Reese on offense, and a QB, while a great athlete, isn't exactly the bastion of accuracy in an offense that demands that......eh, we'll see.

Road games at Minnesota and Carolina, both have good coaches that have guys ready to play. We aren't winning.

Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Texas will have better talent than us. We have a coach with a bad index so we won't win those games.

Mizzou, Ole Miss, Vandy our only chances at an SEC win. Ole Miss on road, we'll lose. Split the other two, 3-9.

9 game SEC sked gonna SUCK

Beat Vandy but lose to Auburn? Beat the team that drew one of the short straws and just got left out of the playoffs but lose to the team that may be a slightly bigger **** show than MSU was this year? That’s an interesting prediction to say the least.
