How do you compete with this as Mississippi State?

That's just incredible to me. Because just 10 years ago athletic departments were operating on half the revenue.

maybe time to cut out the smoothie bars and massage therapist and etc etc etc.

Additional research: UK Revnue was $95m in 2015. It is projected to be $221m in 2025. So where did the extra $155m of expenses come in?

So how is throwing even more money into the equation going to help MSU smart guy?
Here and I went and found it for you and copy pasted it so you didn’t have to do any extra work

“don’t quote me on these exact numbers but it’s something similar to this (I have a spreadsheet somewhere)

the 4 years before NIL 80% of 4 and 5 stars went to 10 ish different schools

each year after NIL that 80% dropped significantly to those same schools

why? Bc smu and other schools who aren’t traditionally good spent money to get 1 or 2 good players

that helps create a more level playing field

now the MSUs of the world can have a chance against the ALABAMAS bc Alabama has less talent.”

i gave more of one than you do.
No… you think like 80% of our fans that we are just poor and can’t do anything
I wished our fans realized and believed that we can compete in this new era
Our AD and coaches belive

I think SMU is a good example of how nothing has changed. They lost to byu and Clemson only teams they played with a pulse. Then got smoked game 1 of the playoffs. It was never close.

On the other hand, smu is good example that it is easier to make the playoffs out of the acc then the sec. You know if smu and OM or Bama played.... OM and Bama would whip
Them.

I used logic, something you obviously have no acquaintance with.
Your logic is the big boys wouldn’t have allowed it.

the 17ing big boys didn’t want it. Saban “the biggest boy of them all” has stated how much he hates it.

so your logic is that of a retarded 5th grader.

No, you used old data to determine your logic. You are the typical Larry templeton John cohen logic … We have raised more money in the 28 months Selman has been AD than cohen or LT ever did. You just subscribe to this we are the broke poor people and any change hurts state.

Of course they say that. They allowed it to happen or it wouldn’t have happened. You can keep clinging to your dreams I guess.

And compare it to what the big boys rise all the time. Relatively speaking in the SEC nothing has changed other than we added a couple more big boys.

Once again you know absolutely nothing and just revert back to the same poor ol state. We have added a few more than “just a couple big boys”. Stop acting like we are a sunbelt cusa program.
Unlike you we have fans coach’s and an AD who are ready to embrace this new era of Rev share and NIL.

So does everyone else in the SEC.

I have to speak to the level of my audience, namely you.
Well if you can go back and screen shot a logical argument you made to me on this topic I’ll yell “uncle”

But I imagine you’ll just come back with something stupid again.

Without actual contracts, college football will die. There is a reason that it isn't all free agency in sports. MLB is bad enough but at least with the draft and contracts, small market teams have a chance to develop.

MSU needs the ability to get a 4 year contract with a student athlete to develop them and not have them poached immediately after a break out season.

I think the answer is recruit outside the country and get some rugby brutes that eat their young and have blood in their eyes. Spend a year teaching them how to play football and turn them loose.
