We suffer through watching the B1G and having to listen to the biased talking idiots, but are thinking about syncing up Jeff Byers to the video feed on Saturday.

How about you?

I would like to sync Jeff to the TV visual… can someone please explain how to do this?

I have Comcast cable and an iPhone that can get the radio feed… but they are not naturally in sync… I hear what happened several seconds before I see it… no good!

So if I don’t like the TV announcers, I just watch on mute… I can see for myself what’s happening!

Every BTN match I’ve watched the announcers have given huge props to the program, the coaches and wrestlers. Heck, they did a short clip about the best matches seen at Rec Hall this year.
I’d imagine other schools are sick of how much they talk up Penn State.
Exactly. They can’t talk about PSU all the time or no one would watch, but us. I think they are more than fair with the coverage. Byers is employed to broadcast for PSU. Of course, he talks about our guys. It’s like picking the news stations that tell you what you want to hear, then declaring the others aren’t accurate or trustworthy.

I simply pause one or the other in order to bring them in sync.

I can live with that.

If you want to get a buzz on - just take a long drink every time Shane Sparks says the word "Resilite." He must have partial ownership of the mat company.

Your best bet based on my experience is when you hear Byers call that they're coming to the center of the mat, shaking hands, or whatever else indicating the start is near, pause it until you see that same thing about to happen on TV, then hit play on the video feed. This will work in reverse if your TV is ahead of the audio but as you note, the audio is almost always ahead.

Thank you very much… I will give it a try!

I didn’t realize one could pause and resume with delay, and not just pick it up live again!

… does it matter where one gets the audio feed? In other words, does it work with a radio station website or only Lionvision or another specific source?

And does it work for Steve and Jack for football as well?

Absolutely listen to Byers every possibility. Sync him up with BTN and mute the student announcers. Sometimes you have to work at it over the course of the dual but it’s worth it. Right now we’re on our way from NEOH via KY, ATL and then just outside of Tampa FL with friends Sunday evening for the week. Don’t ask how I end up being on the road during such an important event but it is what it is this year.

My plan tomorrow and Sunday is to link Tom McAndrew’s normal link from On3 (haven’t seen it yet 😳) and listen while driving. That should be a new experience. Go Lions!

I guess I’m a bit of an oddball as I like listening to the radio broadcast because it runs a few seconds ahead of my streaming TV. Especially during tourneys. It allows me to do other things, but gives me the heads up when something exciting happens with enough time to get to the telly. I also don’t do the B1G+, so sometimes the radio is all I have.
