How does BYU expect to survive as an independent

they expect to have 12 nationally televised games a year and draw in 5 to 7 mil a year more than they do now. If that is the case, it should work for them.

BYU going independent is setting up very nicely for Utah to dominate that state in the next few years. I expect to see BYU back in the MWC within the next 5 years.

Very cool to see that Utah St. plays on Merlin Olsen Field. He's one of my all-time favorite NFL players.

I don't boycott Outback but I still am not over that snow job a few years back when we got "Mountain Wested" by their refs

Almost every Mormon outside of Utah roots for BYU in some way, shape or form. They may be fans of other teams where they live, but will watch BYU on TV when they play. It is much the same way for some Catholics who are so attached to Notre Dame. My best friends' mother has told him that if any of his 3 kids go to Notre Dame, she will pay for it. And these are big time LSU fans in Baton Rouge. <div>
